Ok so ive been having a weird warm idle so ive been thinking iac may need cleaned/replaced. i was at my buddys house helping him part a car and i got a 01 throttle body with the iac routed through the throttle body instead of having that stupid hose coming out of the front, aside from that feature is there any difference between the stock 96 and the 02.
Edit: never mind i searched like a good forum member and found where it was already talked about and shot down.

Things missing from current project list
Downpipe- im looking for a vband adapter for an sr20 turbo, and i will build the rest of the DP.
Intercooler setup and BOV, thinking about doing it as a recirculating system this time.
oil and water lines to and from the turbo,
sandwhich plate
Injectors and fuel pump, im still leaning towards e85 because later on i do want to go for an allofit build.
Coolant reroute probably piece it together myself
clutch, i still have my lightened flywheel from the red car so that will be reused
Energy suspension bushings and diff mounts
Mazda comp motor mounts
boost gauge
repack front hubs
brakes all the way around
thinking about switching the idiot gauge for oil pressure in the dash for this, and also the coolant temp for a real coolant temp gauge. i want something with both pressure and temp and this was the only one i could find.

update, sold the red car which means money to finish up, plus taxes coming back should be right in time to put it together. also do i want to run Hawk HPS on the street?
also picked up some stuff, got a smoking deal on this nardi deep corn with nrg quick release hub.
and the good stuff here, sr20 turbo and the manifold, plus p/s stuff.
also brought it in the garage today to finally change the throttle body and discover this...

update: Have everything i need for the fuel system. went ahead and sprung for a M-Tuned dual feed rail, 680cc FIC injectors, Walbro 255, missing some fittings and hose but i can get those at the parts stores.
Also received an AEM boost Gauge to match the wideband, EGR delete from Trackspeed, had the machinist take care of the manifold added studs that will eventually stretch, Downpipe flange will be having a custom downpipe made.
went to my buddys and got a P/S pump and A/C stuff to put back on, pick n pull is also right up the road from his place so went down and picked up a protege valve cover and sandblasted it when i got back. I also really hate the white gauge faces somebody put on because they didint install them correctly and now there are air pockets behind and it looks like crap.
Missing Pieces
Oil Supply and Return
Coolant Hoses for turbo
Intercooler Setup
BOV
Clutch
Also want a real Oil pressure, Oil Temp, and Coolant Temp Gauge thinking glowshift and putting them under the radio.
MS-3 to be shipped from Rev, anxious for this one.

Update time, working on installing the MS and converting to e85.
Started by getting the seat out to work in the ecu area, the PO left me some presents?
My buddy and i found some things earlier in the year that lead us to believe this car was supercharged at some point, the ecu harness had some splices electrical tape etc. that kinda confirm that. at least in my eyes.
so i got curious and popped the cam cover off to check on the other part that i wondered about, the possibility of a jdm engine which has better cams? also while i was in there i noticed the cam caps have all been stamped by a rebuilder at some point, hopefully a good sign for something good in the bottom end?

Is that vac line for your MAP sensor? Because typically the smaller diameter and shorter the better for the MAP signal. I'd be okay using something like that for a boost gauge, but not sure about MAP.

Started the day like this. finished up installing the new injectors and mtuned fuel rail.
Struggled with the o2 sensors for a few hours and many torch attemps with a finally result of me-0 o2-1. its not a project around my house if you havnt spilled blood all over it
after getting bandaged up, i took a look at the intake and decided since i dont live in communist California egr must disappear
Final mounted the MS, ignore the blue wire i was testing a ground for the radio.
Final resolution for wideband, cut a hole in the exhaust and weld a 3rd bung in. sounded easy enough till i could find the welders helmet in the sea of boxes in the garage. pulled the set it close and close your eyes method, have to say it looks like a 3 year old did it but should work till i find the helmet and can redo it. no pics of that though. should be ready to setup the tune and first fire on ms tomorrow morning.

regular gas 3.99 at the station i picked up e85 from, E85 was 3.19 thats a win in my book. it starts after you fool the ms into letting it, The tune rev put on its for the gm iat that i dont have yet. i pm'd him about getting one for a maf car for the time being. Once started i found the intake has a bad leak somewhere and the exhaust is leaking around the homemade egr cap, i kinda figured it would. may mess with it tomorrow or Saturday depending on whats going on around here. anyway have an idle video
