Bought the car in December because i wanted a 1.8 and a better body than i had on my red car. Stumbled across a 96 M-Edition about 4hr from my current place and decided that was the car i wanted, so i got in touch with the owner and made arrangements. headed down and picked it up.
This was the day after i got it home. it has brainstorm low pro headlights,Magnaflow Exhaust, sways and Rokkor coilovers(wouldnt pay for them but coming with the car they can stay for a little while), 73k miles paid 3800 for the car. Best part is the lack of rust and owner history, Lived most of its life in Alabama and spend the past 2 years in kentucky.

Switched the wheels and hardtop off of the red car

Added some rennen metal hardtop brackets.

Got some new front turn signal housings for christmas

But before much can happen spring has to roll around.

Plans for this car
Engine
Begi or Fm Manifold and downpipe
Chinese GT2871
possibly E85
Injectors depend on e85 or not
Walbro 255lph
MS-3 with sequential fuel and spark
Toyota Cop setup (homemade)
Water Injection (homemade with MS as the controller)
Mazda comp motor mounts
Delrin differential bushings
Suspension
New control arm and sway bar bushings
Vmaxx coilovers
FM Frame rail braces
clean stuff up
Undercoat
paint sub frames and control arms
Brakes
Drilled and slotted rotors
SS Braided Lines
Agressive street pad of some sort
Interior
Headunit less radio setup
Gauges where Head unit used to live
Revlimiter Gauge faces
Rollbar
Good Cleaning

Car was missing the crank angle sensor when i bought it, bought everything for a cool $50,I need to get out and install it. i also received my AEM wideband from Doapparts, to bad i cant use it yet.
What happened to the other one?
What size wheels are those? Weight?
Looks good for the money, nice low miles too. Any rust?
Please, store it better after you've done the work to it. Snow no touch..

there is a small amount of surface rust on chassis but body is almost mint a few little scratches and dings. the wheels are 15x7 Falken Hannabi that i had on the red car and switched over, i believe they are in the 10-11lb category. im hoping to have a garage next year, or at least rent a storage locker to keep in in over the winter.
Sweet car man! Much cleaner than your last. I probably should have done this, but instead I went the difficult route of updating my 1990 (diff, brakes, and now motor). It IS a mariner though, so that's enough reason to keep it for me.

Good to see you here Tadd. You got a great deal on that 96M and it sure looks like a nice car! Looking forward to your build.

Had a chance today to get some better pictures, i do not claim to be a good photographer. i also picked up some cops at the junkyard and spent some valuable time on the clock splitting open the stock Toyota wiring

I just installed the kw-r900bt in my DD last week, actually impressed by the HU. A little silly in the menu sysmte, but SQ and power output is nice. Components should sound good.
