I had never seen an oil pump before in my life so I just assumed that it was good. It was my ignorance that messed me up this time. I guess you live and learn. Now I know to check that ****.

I got in my head gasket today and the top corner is slightly bent from being shrink wrapped to tightly. Do you experts think it is bent to much to use and should I call and ask to exchange it? or do I just throw it on and hope it works.

That bend isn't in a terrible spot. I bet you'd be Ok. Those tear-drop shaped holes are just oil drains, shouldn't be pressurized unless you have blow-by of course. I have seen them leak, though for what thats worth.
If you still have to wait for a lot of other parts i'd try and exchange it in your down time.
Edit: Now get back on SC2!

Definitely was the lighting and there is some oil on it. I test fitted it on my block which had oil on the top from being turned upside down.
Both my block and head seemed pretty flat checking with a level. I will hopefully get to head to the machine shop either tomorrow or Wednesday.
I have a job interview tomorrow so that comes first. I need income, so that I can buy more things to make me go fast.

I took off all the Rod caps and main Caps to check my bearings. Everything looked good so I rel-ubed them all and put them back on. Now to just get the head to the machine shop one of these days.

$5 worth of parts that kept my engine from getting oil pressure.
New to me intake manifold, it should flow a good bit better then my stock 99 I was going to use.
A complete wiring harness out of a 95. One of these days I am going to build a wiring harness from scratch and this will be the basis for it.
I should be getting everything else I need to finish up the car this week and will hopefully be dropping in my rebuilt motor next weekend. I pray to the flying spaghetti monster that it all goes good.

Yes you would be correct on it being saint_foos old manifold. I have his remote IAC and it has some of your amazing welds on it. Hopefully in the spring I can afford to have you build me a nice V-band setup.
