Lol, believe it or not it used to look worse. I just took this pic for fun and to see if it would actually clear the rest of the car. It's already pulled off and dissembled. I'm going to change the comp. wheel tomorrow and paint the housing.

Text me baby <3 Just call me, you homo

Edit: Things I need to order.

-New fittings for my fuel rail so it clears the intake manifold
-Hard line fittings fuel
-4" air filter
-Tial MVS
-lots of heat shielding/wrap

Send me the compressor housing, I now have a glass bead machine. It would look all nice and purty... then you could powder coat it clear and never mess with it again.

I know, I hate the color just as much as everyone else. I'll probably watch a movie and sand the housing down and clear it. My only means to powdercoating involves shipping my parts away because we don't have a local shop. I'd have a really hard time sending my intake manifold away to someone who wasn't a forum member.

But I completely agree with you, the color is terrible. I just wanted a quick mock-up shot. The **** fits!

I'll definitely send it to you if you think you want to clean it up for me. I still need to rebuild the turbo this weekend, my comp. wheel should (hopefully) be here tomorrow.

You'll be getting a PM from me soon about the trans and the ignition setup. Or just call me, bro.

I'm 99% sure it's inevitable at this point. No matter which way I clock, it's close. Luckily, it will only need a small notch. The angle that the manifold puts the turbo could not be anymore perfect.

you really should get Min to help you as he's already pioneered many of the solutions for fitting large-frame turbochargers and has reaped the rewards at the dyno

It looks much bigger than it really is. Comp. a/r, no idea. Turbine is .65 a/r.

I'll definitely be taking you up on that. Don't forget to ask the powder coating shop about prices! I'll call you when I get back from Orlando.

Turbo definitely fits. Clearance on the side shelf is going to be so close, it has to be cut. Any smaller turbo and I would have probably gotten by. Oh well. Rear shelf might need some work, too

Everything is getting pulled. Valve cover is getting a fresh coat of paint, front cam cover is going back to black.

Possible:
-LS coils or COPS (depending on Ryan)
-Intake manifold getting powdercoated wrinkle black
-FM2 clutch

For sure:
- 1000cc EV14 injectors-gotta read up on these bitches
-all new fuel hose and hardline adapters
-comp. housing IS GETTING PAINTED!!!!!!!!
-turbo manifold will either be ceramic'd at a shop or painted by me
-Tial MVS and wastegate arm re-welded for v-band
-heater hoses and all parts associated with the hotside of the car will be wrapped in fire sleeve and blanketed.

That's about it, really. I can reuse everything else. My biggest decision is going to be the downpipe. Do I send it all away to have one made, or do I do it myself???? Another thing I have to do is measure out the head -> manifold studs that need to be shorted to clear the runners. It's a seriously tight fit.

Mock-up shots

We all know Subway is superior. Sometimes you just have to wait for better things.

Edit: It's going to cost me nearly 100 dollars to make an intake for this thing, lol ****

I would go with the LS coils. Buy the bracket for $50 and wires for $100 from FM. Then pick up the coils and pigtails on ebay. Will be a bit more upfront then COPS, but is a much better choice over all. You should be able to do it all for less then $250.

Whoa, whoa. Don't get fresh. I know I'm gonna have to spend some coin on the right supporting mods. I know I'll be spooling this big bitch high but I'm confident I will get the powerband I am looking for. Your input, criticism, hate, etc.. is always welcome here

My budget for this is pretty much whatever I feel like spending. On the FM3 I putted along with whatever was cheap because it was antique hardware and investing money in it was worthless. I have no problem putting money towards this setup, even if I have to change the turbo to a precision or borg warner to get the powerband I want.

It's pretty much up to Ryan to make whatever he feels like making. We have a deal/trade going with a few parts and services. Either one will be enough to get me to the point of destroying this motor.
