- that a crap head actually means a worked head with cams.
- that the best boost control is no wastegate at all, cause the turbo will maintain perfectly 22psi to redline.
- 3.5" to 3" exhaust is ideal.
- that a tubular manifold can make a small turbo spool like complete *******.

That reminds me, i've got the answer for his shitty spool.
It's the same reason the toilet water where he's at goes down the opposite way that everyone elses on the proper half of the earth(us) does.
He's gotta get that inverted turbo wheel installed. Then it will want to spin the proper way according to the side of the earth he is on. Right now he's fighting nature.
Coriolis effect and ****.
Man we've learned so much fun stuff in the past few pages.

You guys are being dicks and Brain as an admin I would think that you are supposed to be above all this internet ****.
Not that it means much but i'm disapointed. This crap shoot arguing is a bad look for this forum (especially from an admin). Sorry, flame away.
I have enjoyed Danns posts, I take his posts as legit and don't really care if his figures are accurate or not. Don't really care if he (as you guys suggest) is trolling either. It seems honest and up front and thats all I care about.
He went out and made the effort to build something, learn as he went and post the results. I am amazed at his thick skin throughout this thread and at times some pretty disrespectful things have been said.
Why is it important for 2 key members to have the nth degree of proof..?
Who really cares....?...is it that threatening that you need to make such a big deal about it?
And to my main point, IF Dann was so worried about trolling and "proving" himself to the powers that be, do you not think he could doctor up a dyno sheet that would be internet "proof" in 5-10 minutes....?
This whoile concept of proof on the internet is flawed from the start.
This arguing is ridiculous.

I must question everything to maintain a high standard of quality control on the site.

A quick video of it at a local hillclimb today, at the top of the page. It wasnt very quick, it really needs the EBC toned down at low throttle percentages, it just shreds the tyres the whole run.
Just for fun, count the gearchanges.

It has megasquirt EBC. It just has too much boost still at low throttle openings.
Ill make it so everything under 1/2 is gate pressure or something similar. Right now its like 10psi at 1/4 throttle 15psi at half and 22-24 at full, so even at 1/3rd throttle you are putting down 220whp.

This has ABS also so it has a speed pickup I guess.
Why is this a poor way of doing it?
It spins 5th on semis anyway so Im not sure how going boost by gear would help, surely being able to control boost and therefor torque with TPSvsRPM is good when its tuned to suit the driver?

Because instead of the max power being controlled by a preset conditions you're leaving it for the driver to control it with half an inch of pedal travel... aka 20% vs 40% Obviously you gotta find how much boost per gear the tires can hold in perfect conditions. From there on the driver can floor the gas and not have to worry about foot control and that extra half an inch breaking traction.

Doesnt that make the torque output really non linear and add something extra the driver needs to consider depending on slip angle etc?
How does wrc do it?
What if you want to trim the attitude of the car by throttle steering?
ASurely just having linear boost vs TPS will work nicely?
