What i got from this thread is - these are all Dann's personal projects. He owns all of them and this is his idea of the optimal way to build a car. What am I missing?

You're clearly unhappy here and have a beyond delusional idea of what the "cookie cutter" build is or what needs to be done to impress this community as a whole. If you have a problem with everybody else, then well...

This person has a LOT of posts here. This was this week.
And I don't think the forum hates on me a lot, and I quote.

I don't want everyone to love me, but for ***** sakes can I just post a bit of info which people can look at without the BS flaming immediately from those 2?
I mean, they act like I am a complete tool with no idea, one of the guys who has posted in this thread drove 8 hours to my shop and voted with his wallet, and I would say that he probably has one of the top 2 or 3 nicest and best cars on this site, all of the hot parts too, and I built those, I know I can build nice stuff, so do all of you, so why flame when I build parts a customer asks for?
I don't need everyone's approval, I'd just like to be able to post a bit of data without some arsehole assuming I am trying to win hearts or some **** and attacking me immediately for not building a customers car how they would have done their own.
If I cannot have that I'll just stop posting, Having said that I probably have built more turbo miatas than well, many many prominent members here and have the opportunity to test things that most just cannot, if you don't want that as a resource, fine. Ill read the threads, test my own stuff and leave you all to it. If people wanted me to try **** and test it in the way they wanted it tested, where possible I would, but when I try to do this all I get is flames, sure I troll back too and that doesn't help.

At no point do I think anyone assumed the cars were yours. What we did, reasonably, assume is that you:
A) ... built that downpipe on purpose and didn't think there was anything wrong with it.
B) ... could have strongly suggested the customer throw a few hundred more dollars at the car to fit a proper exhaust
C) ... thought that ridiculous dyno was somehow useful or informative
Now that you've explained that the downpipe was made that way at the customer's insistence and that exhausts are triple the cost in Australia that they are here in the USA and that you had no idea that dyno chart was, in fact, ridiculous... It all makes a lot more sense.
We could not have known any of that based on your posts. THAT is why a preface would be nice and would have completely prevented the shitshow that followed.
In fact, I'll post how this thread could have gone below...

Just as a data point, the below setup (different car, identical setup) made 170rwkw at 15psi, on a 1.6L, with RX8 injectors, MSPnP2, and a 2" exhaust. The downpipe on that car is the same, 3" for as far as possible, bullet cat and smooth neck down to 2"
Same turbo location on the log and everything.
The reason it has that downpipe setup is because the owner insisted. I let him know it would be a significant restriction and probably hurt power and spool, but I am just the builder. His budget was stretched and exhausts are about triple the cost here versus the States.
That, and the cops like to hassle modified cars so quiet exhausts with small tips help fly under the radar a bit.
Here is one of the first dyno pulls, with a boost control failure. 14psi here by memory. I didn't tune this, not my dyno, not even my city.
161 kW is about 216 BHP. That seemed pretty good based on the compromised setup but I'm not real familiar with the dyno stuff.
