Knock control units, goals And current progress.
Well Im half way through installation, turbo, manifold, mbc, wideband, emanage w/ign and injec, and intercooler I haft too run over borrow a welder and such to get my downpipe fabbed, drain my oil drill and tapp the pan and install the capped fittings, goals for now just getting it boosted and running 7-8 psi (starting horsepower goal 150(about what the ms miata puts out) Im trying to source couplers locally...Havin a hard time with that, you figure fl is such a tuner **** state it be easy to track down a tuner shop close by(I was wrong) Do I need to source a egr fitting for the manifold from a hydro store or am I going to haft to get one from bell(Yes I just relized Im missing this) Im thinking of getting a bipes unit as a secondary timming retard unit to go along with the emanage(im not sure if the emanage can handle this all the way or could it use some help) last but not least I need to source wide-band and o2 bungs for the down pipe, can I get these locally at a auto parts store?
Oh and some of you reccomended I paint the Ic black as a theft deterent? is that a good idea?

Light coat of flat black hides FMICs quite well. The fmic on my civic is invisible behind the stock bumper.
Wideband a tuner shop might have... but ebay is probably the cheapest. LC1 is one of the nicest compromises in cost/usefullness. Can the emanage use it though? I know 0 about emanage setups. The o2 bung should be found at exhaust shops or car parts store.

sorry I ment to say in the first thread I need a o2 bung for both the the aem wide-band and o2 sensor (I should better explain things) , the exhaust shop where I had my exhaust work done recnetly did'nt have any, I did'nt know If I would need the bipes or not with the emanage, so that ansewers that ?, thanks brain, now another thing should I mount and install the vortech fmu wit a 6:1 disc or should I jus sell it to buy other needed things, same goes for the strut tower brace( I don't know If I really need it, no difference in how the car feels wit it off) , as far as the paint should I go with the high temp black or high gloss spray paint . oh and before I forget I need wiring instructions for the aem(I lost mine) .

Hey guys, I got the wide-band and 02 bungs with caps for free at this muffler shop on my way home from work, lol the guy was to lazy to bother ringing them up so he just gave them to me and said to come back If I need anything, and I thought everyone in this area was a a$$hole... that cheers up my day.

yeah install the FMU, since you can only control larger injectors by so much with the EMB, it's easier to get more HP capability out of it by rasing the fuel pressure in the rail (which raises the CCs of the injectors), and then tuning the fuel in your cells in the EMB. Otherwise your injectors without a FMU will only really be able to squeeze out a good 150-160-170rwhp or so.
Even if you start running running 10psi (which gives you 110psi of fuel and supports well over 250rwhp), you will still be able to make adjustments in the EMB to give you exactly how much/little fuel you need in boost.
plus if the emb would ever fail and stop making adjustments, for some odd reason, you can still boost and be safe.

ok brain , How about working out a base tune with the 1.8 injecters and emanage then after everything is running smoothly upgrade to the larger light green top mkII injecters, just Until I get a handle on the emanage, would I still need to run the fmu with the emb to run with the 1.8 injecters?

You maybe right at the limit w/ the emb, and MKII injectors @ 10psi.
1. Install the emb first-- do some basic data logging, and get used to the software.
Also get familiar w/ the WBO2
2. Drink some beer...
3. Add the injectors
4. Drink some more beer...
5. play around w/ the emb
6. Drink some beer
7. next day when sober take a drive and see if you need the AFPR, you won't @ 8psi, but 10psi maybe the limit depending upon a whole bunch of factors...
I was a hack and made my own egr fitting from some brakeline, if you like to buy parts then give Bell or FM a call
I am suprised you don't have two or three all ready
