Default low mount turbo folks, oil return?

Specifically anyone with an absurdflow, or absurdflow style setup. what does your oil return look like?

Just about to order a couple new hose ends and fittings to drill and tap my pan for the return, and I'm thinking a 45deg -10AN to 1/2NPT fitting for the pan, a straight hose end to attach to that, and then a 30deg(?) hose end to attach to the turbo drain fitting.

Thoguhts? Suggestions? Pics?

There's pics on here somewhere (not helpful).

More helpful: I just bought a set of NPT taps (1/8" to 1") from McMaster-Carr so assuming you're in the Worc./Boston area, feel free to borrow what you need.

45* off the turbo, pointed forward, to a straight fitting in the pan using #8 hose. You want to run the hose forward, toward the compressor so it won't melt as soon.

45 degrees off the turbo would damn near rub the housing no? I looked through my build pics but couldn't find a decent picture. Mine is straight off the turbo (witch is clocked ~10*) and snaked down past steering rack to the pan and straight into the pan, no angle pieces. No problems at all so far, just make sure its not rubbing on anything and remember the golden rule of plumbing: ***** rolls downhill

Well if you do hypers coolant reroute i'm pretty sure you can swing it around in there too.

I bought a taller/longer oil return flange to clear the compressor housing.

I have a 45 degree -8an fitting coming off the turbo and then have a straight fitting at the oil pan. When I redo the line I will probably get 45 degree fittings on each end.

Thanks guys. I think my plan will work, after looking at Lar's pics. Just didn't feel like ordering a bunch of fittings and then not have it work out the way it does in my head.

Zach, I have a 1/2NPT and drill bit for it already, but thank you for the offer. When are we getting together to tear your car apart?

One of my water lines attached to my turbo was not completely tight. So water was dripping out and leaking all over that area. I knew I had a leak, and just kept refilling my system with tap water, which down here is not very clean. It will all be cleaned and the water line will be tightened down this time. Then I will be flushing the system with CLR and filling it with distilled water.
