I don't even know wtf that is. My 2002 motor had one, I removed it. It's definitely not the CAS. The CAS sits at the back of the intake cam on the 01+.

I think that is a condenser. It function I believe is to keep electrical noise from messing with radio reception. It is not really needed but beware it does have 12 v going to it.

Yep, it's the ignition condenser. (Old-school name for capacitor.) Smooths out the spikes on the +12 feed when the coil primaries turn on and off.



Your engine has two position sensors. One is on the front of the valve cover on the intake cam side, the other is down by the crank pulley, on the right side as viewed from the front.
