I used to hate that OEM "surf rod" sticking out of the car!

I have a S2K antenna on both of my cars. The threads are not long enough for it to just screw right in, but I made a simple adapter for it. No noticable loss in reception.

I'm probably going to remove it and then run an antenna between the Frankenstein bolts in front of the trunk lid..

How's your reception after install?

Well I'll take that endorsement.

At less than a third the price? Looks like I'm getting a new antenna.

anybody know how to wire the s2000 antenna? It has one wire with it, versus the 3 for the stock antenna. I would assume the black and black/white were for power, however, digging a bit further, and a blown fuse later, it would seem that's not the case. The multicolored wire blew a fuse.

I used to have a s2k antenna on my 90... bought the module and everything... wiring was just a matter of wiring my old power antenna junk to it and radio reception was about the same.

On my car now...I bought a short antenna off eghey for 10 bucks and screwed it in...works the same. Kinda like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/I-Bla...Q5fAccessories

You might be able to find a universal shorty at Autozone.
