You figure in this day and age one could get consistent and fast internet.
Tests from yesterday:
10:16AM
Ping: 67ms
DL: 1.16Mbps
UP: 0.76Mbps
9:15PM
Ping: 466ms
DL: .12Mbps
UL: 0.07Mbps
9:16PM
Ping: 80ms
DL: 0.77Mbps
UL: 0.60Mbps
10:32PM
Ping: 150ms
DL: 1.1Mbps
UL: 0.76Mbps
It's been like this for the past couple months. Called Quest a couple of times, and naturally, there's nothing wrong and their remote test confirmed it.
Things I have done:
-Reset router and modem (Both hard and soft)
-Bitched
-Checked connections and plugs, replaced cables
And it still gives me this bullshit. The worst part is that Quest is the ONLY high-speed internet service provider out here and they offer ONE service, so they have no motivation to give a **** about any of us.
EDIT: Japanese people are creepy ^^

I'm thinking it might be the line from our house's magic box to the other magic box. It was recently replaced. Right around the time it got slow too.

Yesterday I was on my way to the shop only to run into detour after detour due to flooded roads. The first one I hit by my bank was the worst. A half dozen cars were lost in the water (you can sorta see them in the picture).
Every route I took led me to another mess of traffic. Over by the Home depot they had us routed through the parking lots and out a small single side entrance. That was a 30 min ordeal. I hit another 2 detours after that and just said **** it and went back home.
Here's some pictures I took with my iphone, quality isn't the best.
From what I've read the rest of the state got hit pretty bad. http://www.ctpost.com/local/article/...ms-1045687.php
