Geology...but I haven't really picked what specific area, though pertroleum geology seems attractive.

Sorry. Still very groggy from taking three Benadryl and large gin and tonic last night at 7pm. Was asleep by 730. But my sinuses feel better.

Side note- Brembos are off the car. Replaced by Wilwoods for future 15" wheel options.

Hire an atheist. Get them off the streets and out of the courts:

No, it was tongue-in-cheek aimed at people that have nothing better to do than attack others in every instance to further their views or non-views.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Guess they are just "petitioning the Government"

...just as the First Amendment not only protects speech with which we agree, but also speech by which we are repulsed

in other words, these beggars love to be choosers.

Some people just live for the opportunity to be offended...

"Silverman added that the memorial must allow atheists and other belief groups to include their own displays of equal size. "

Mr. Silverman seems not to be aware that the World Trade Center Foundation, Inc. is a private organization, and is thus not compelled by the first amendment.

On the other hand, I would love to see what sort of display American Atheists wants to put up. Would it be a 15 foot tall nothing, or a giant flying spaghetti monster made from twisted rebar?

I'm not a fan of goat milk/cheese. I do like when they hang out on roofs and eat/listen to metal.

The best solution is to take the cross down. A section of cross beams from a modern building is nothing more than that.

It's embarrassing to see people get teary eyed over this as if it is some sort of divine symbol. A reminder of how a divine and just god was completely absent, as he/she always is. A comforting symbol about the plague in the world that is religion.

Yes. It hurts and bothers me. It bothers me that politicians are still using god/religion to swing votes or in any way using god/religion to make choices. It's all bullshit and repeated fairy tales should not be allowed to have room in any important decisions.

It bothers me that god/religion can be used to persecute people for things that are completely up to the person's own self doing, whether is be choices about what they do on Sunday, how they spend their money or what they enjoy doing in their personal time. It hurts me that my friends are afraid to experience life because they have had the bible shoved down their throat for the past 20 years. It makes me sick to my stomach that my friend was left in a ditch for 9 days and fed scraps because her PARENTS felt it was necessary treatment for someone who wants to descend from Islam.

I can go on, but I am stopping here. That cross is nothing of importance and should be removed.
