Right now, I'm still completely stock, and I had it up to an indicated 110. Based on the RPMs and gear, it was more 115-ish. This is stock with not a single modification, except for heavy **** rims that came with the car.
I'm curious as to what I can expect with my turbo setup. I noticed that every time I hit that, it would easily reach 110, like no ones business, but then just stop accelerating at 115, as though the wind resistance had finally caught up.
This was top down and lights up, so I get a handicap
On a track or closed road course, obviously.
EDIT: Oh, and post your transmission and final drive ratios, as well as tires
I have a 5-speed and 4.3 on stock tires.

lulz, most turbo setups will let you hit the limiter in 5th, which is somewhere in the 130's-140's, depending on your wheels/transmission/rearend. Top speed is never a huge goal for us, as our car's aero sucks up top. I read somewhere that someone had done 175mph in a V8 miata and said the handling became incredibly scary with weird lift happening.

My miata doesnt have very fancy wheels, but its what I could afford at the age of 16 for my first "mod" if you will, by replacing the steelies with american racing aluminum wheels, and the tires mounted are a class H tire, so 118 is pretty safe, not only that my wing is legit. I have a unique bracing system designed by my uncle from aluminum tubing in the trunk. I cant explain it, but he is a genius, I can still open my trunk, and all the down forces are distributed to my frame...
Maybe you have alot of money to blow, but in my eyes, alot of work and DIY fabrication went into my car that I did almost entirely myself, so to the person that cares (me), its far from stock.

122mph GPS confirmed.
Still pulling hard, but decided that was enough (more than enough) for a public road.
Was gonna run out of gear in about another 10mph anyhow. May take it out to west Texas after installing the 3.90 and see what it'll do.
Been much faster on the Triumph...but it had real brakes (4 piston dual disc fronts).
