ok... problem is... i dont live there
i mean, i had that apartment for almost 3 years and i never really moved in (live with my g/f at her place). sub and amp were laying with all the other crap in boxes (never even opened :/) waiting to be installed in 350z.
it just had to be someone i know... there was no mess or anything like that... just 2 boxes went missing. and capacitor was in another box which was far behind other **** and only few people knew it was there.
but i did find about a gram of kush behind one of the boxes

im gonna install a hidden camera next week and put another subwoofer there. im totally willing to sacrifice that other sub in order to find out who the **** that is. once i know who did it - i will ******* break their legs with a hammer.

That sucks dude. Just leave the box the sub came in, not the sub too. Put a couple bricks in the box and tape it up...this way if they come in and take it but have masks on you didnt lose your sub even though you didnt get any evidence.
OFFTOPIC: I've heard damn good things about the new amps...haven't used one yet though. It's kinda hard to go wrong with hifonics stuff.

hifonics amps are pretty good for the price. their high-end stuff is just plain awesome but low-level (like the one that got stolen) is allright for price. no comments on their speakers/amps. i still have 4 hifonics 6.5" speakers in trunk of my 350z but i never hooked them up.
scfreshy - sub is mounted in a box and capacitor was in a box from that sub... and i doubt he/she/they will come in mask[s]

at one point, my civic was broken into two times in one week.
once on a wednesday, and then again on sunday.
the following week,
i sold the civic,
bought the miata,
got an alarm.
and
one month later
went turbo
buy an alarm, and do the camera thing
it sucks when u know it has to be someone u know
when only they knew u had the stuff in the box.
hope its not a close friend,
i would hate to break my friends fingers

I say gain access to a very deadly virus (flesh eating... my preference)... spray it all over your **** (that is going to get stolen)... make some pop corn, get a lounge chair, and enjoy the show.
Yes, I know the risk... well, you'll just have to make sure its a contact only spread virus, and that it immobilizes them right as they touch the loot... and kills the a couple of hours later, after some very agonizing pain.
The easiest though... get this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDrzMGdYWZc , hook up a remote, get some pop corn yada-yada-yada.

I remember my dad telling me that they used to glue razor blades to the back of their radios, so if someone went to rip it out, they would slice all of their fingers open. Too bad in present day, you would get your *** sued.
I turn my subs off a few block away from wherever I am parking just for this reason though. I also made sure that there was NO trace of anything after market in my DD.

God I like my neighborhood even more now.. *knocks on wood* I've never had to worry about any of this bullshit in my driveway. Knowing most of the people that live around you, and them all thinking you're a complete and total psycho helps a little too...
I'm all for breaking their legs... Make sure you post video and pics!!
