A while back when we were having one of our epic threads and a bunch of folks were showing up from other forums to comment, I made a joke that I expected someone to show up from the Taurus forum before long, not even recognizing the possibility that a Taurus forum might actually exist.
Then someone showed up from the Taurus forum, quoted me, and said "hi."

Driving, I'm a maniac. Everyone is either going too slow or tailgating me. Its a joke! Not to mention all the people that are talking on their phones or texting while they drive. Jesus christ! Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person in my immediate area driving with a brain.

Funny that you mention that.

The guys on the Taurus forum confuse me. They often refer to the car as a "bull" and mention its "Vulcan power". Most of if not all the threads over there are lacking the informative, interesting, or cool factor that a thread needs to live. Somehow though they find a way to continue to talk about nothing and post pictures of the lamest ******* **** I've even seen.
With exception to the SHO, the Taurus is nothing to brag about. Its really just a car to me, nothing more. It beats longboarding or catching rides from place to place because your miata is always parked. Plus its not as gay! lol

Thread drift, but:
I've found that a lot of my coworkers view their paycheck as an entitlement. Any work that they do, they must be constantly praised and encouraged, even if they aren't doing a particularly good job. They spend more energy and effort trying to avoid work, than actually doing the work itself, and they certainly aren't looking for extra things to do when they aren't busy. The especially lazy workers come to work with excuses and distractions ready, not only to avoid their own work, but to prevent other employees from getting their job done (I suppose in an effort to hide their own lack of productivity).
When these failures are pointed out to them, they complain as if they are junior high students being chastised by an overbearing teacher.

I've heard it said that anyone going faster than you is a maniac and everyone going slower is a moron.

Firing/hiring can be easier and harder in a small business, though. Easier because you can set very concrete goals and either fire the person or cut their hours if they can't/don't meet those goals. On the other hand, if you don't have someone ready to step in to their responsibilities, you can make things really, really difficult on everyone else.

Edit: The best people aren't usually out of work. They may be unhappy where they are but they are responsible and dedicated enough to keep working somewhere to pay the bills(even outside their chosen field). They won't always come to you. You have to go find them. Most of the lousy workers I hired weren't working somewhere when I hired them. Strangely enough the lousy ones often came in and asked for an application instead of asking the manager for a job. I think there is a big difference. Or they would ask a waitress "Are you hiring?" as if a waitress could hire anyone.

Now that we have the technology, we probably couldn't live without it. Well not really...but it would suck. Without forums, how would real world losers have human contact?
