My wife thinks her Chow-Sheppard mix is the smartest dog in the world..... Then I walk her every night and if she hears a car door shut or any noise that slightly resembles thunder or a firework, she tries to army crawl back to the house. I literally have to pick her up and walk her down the block sometimes just to get her to take a ****........ yeah babe real smart dog lol

I've got a blue heeler pup now, he's the smartest little dog I've ever known. He knew his basic commands sit, down, stay, shake, and was housebroken in less than 2 weeks after I got him, and he was only 6 weeks when I picked him up.

a good way to keep them from that, is basically keep them busy... since they are a sheep dog type breed, they need tasks to keep them entertained... i learned that the hard way with my old red heeler (now my uncles problem) lol
Damn dog was crazy smart, and they are freakin escape artists, probably due to their extreme intelligence. haha
Edit: Ps, very cute little dog. lol

I was busy all weekend. I deleted the FS thread last night and had hoped that another mod would take care of bannings for me while I passed the **** out.
I smoked 30 pounds of pork butt for 18 hours over the weekend.

We can't even spell certain trigger words around our dogs without them getting excited (dinner, walk, grill, their names, etc). They literally have learned to recognize what "w-a-l-k" means.
I wonder if I could teach them their command words in Spanish and have bilingual dogs...

but seriously, someone did a study on that, and found that animals CAN speak (well.... understand) a second, third, and even fourth language if trained appropriately, even at older ages. I wish i could... haha
