I have absolutely no idea what's going on here, but I want others to believe that I'm in on the joke, so I'm going to post a semi-obscure image which has a retro tone and yet is topically relevant.

In another aids-ridden noob advice thread like this, Concealer kept repeating the same thing to the noob, who then posted a long rant wondering why we are all ******** and nobody would answer his question, despite it being answered several times (OP obviously didn't like that answer). So Concealer posted a picture of an eggplant, because that's what he felt he was talking to.

I guess that means i've now created two internet memes. Eggplant and "shitted."

You can just see his build thread on CR.

Basically it's a stock car with slammage, ugly swagster wheels, and a Greddy kit with all the worst band-aids known to man.

Oh, and hood risers.

Just your typical CR-user-came-to-Miataturbo-expecting-praise thread.

I restored the original text, though the image attachments are gone. If someone can point me to specific links on CR or elsewhere with equivalent images, I'll re-insert them. (edit: fixed)

Eggplant is one of a very few foods that I find absolutely atrocious to eat. There's something about the texture of it that hits me about the same way as rubbing two pieces of sandpaper together- it literally makes me gag. Soft bananas are the same.

Which is weird, since I have no problem at all with sushi, escargot, pâté / foie gras, or any of a myriad other soft, squishy things that would seem to fall into the same category.

Doesn't matter how it's prepared, I've never come across an eggplant that didn't provoke a gag reflex.

I want to like eggplant, I really do. Maybe I've just not found the right preparation...

It took me several decades, for instance to hip up to the fact that Tuna can not suck.

As a kid, we all understand tuna in the context of a small metal can which contains a bunch of chalky, flavorless hunks of grey meat floating in a pool of murky water. That stuff just disgusts me. Not like eggplant (I can eat it without wanting to vomit), but more of a "why would I WANT to eat this, as opposed to eating the can in came in" sort of thing. Mixing it with mayonnaise and celery to make "Tuna Salad" and then smearing it on pasty white Wonder Bread didn't improve matters any.

For many years, as an adult, I had precisely the same reaction when someone would order tuna at a high-end restaurant. Granted, it looks a bit different, but I mean, it's still tuna. How much better than that crap in the can could it be?

Obviously we all know the answer to that question.

So who knows... Maybe I've never been exposed to "good" eggplant before.

I feel a little better knowing he is from Quebec. Often, on message boards, I can't determine if a person:

A) Doesn't write/speak English as a primary language
B) Is using their phone and is too lazy and/or inept to proofread before posting
C) Has a writing disability
D) Is just not very bright
E) All of the above

a tuna steak at a restaurant is not tuna from a can!!!!!! hahahaha.

toro or maguro or white tuna (forget the japanese name) is obviously not the same as bumble bee tuna from a can.

so yeah, i hope you find a way to eat eggplant cause that ****'s delishus.
i didn't read anything in this thread and have no idea why we're talking about eggplant, but have you given eggplant parmesan a shot?

I have no problem with folks whose primary language is not English. Actually, if you really step back and think about it, some of the most gramatically-correct posts on this forum originate from the non-English-speaking regions of Europe.

On the other hand, rice is spelled the same in every language.
