DIYPNP '99 Sync error 32 with funky tach behavior
I am having an issue with a recent install of a DIYPNP in a '99. The car will fire right up and run for about 5 minutes, then it will die and give me sync error 32. It will then start and die repeatedly and not continue running. I am also getting strange tach behavior on the car, not in Tunerstudio. The tach will lag when reving and sort of bounce around and never rev past 3k-4k even though the engine is actually reving that high. I have tried the pull-up at both 5V and 12V and there is no change.
Is there a document anywhere that explains how to diagnose this type of sync issue so that I can educate myself. I have searched a lot of combinations and found a lot of resolutions based off COP issues, but I am still running the factory '99 coils.
Please see attached documents and thanks for your help.

I noticed the composite log I posted above is empty. Here is one that actually has data.
Any suggestions?
I took it out of the car last night and double checked all the solder joints as I bought this second-hand. The Tach no longer bounces and will now rev past 4k, but it is still lagging behind the Tunerstudio tach and actually dips lower before actually rising.

With advice from Matt at DIYAutoTune I swapped my cam sensor. I am still getting the same behavior where it loses sync and stalls after about five minutes, but now I have sync error 31, no longer 32. In morning, I will take a look at the crank sensor spacing. Please take a look at the new log files.

Does anyone have any ideas?
I am also confused by something else. I have the Tach out set to disabled; but my tach is still working. I am very puzzled with this, I am able to get the car to run for 3-5 minutes and then I get loss of sync and it stalls with multiple error counts, going from zero to 20+.

Update: DIYPNP is now dead. Tried to update the firmware, powered using power supply and was treated by magic smoke being released from the microsquirt module.
The smoke is coming from the solder heating up at one of the diodes on the microsquirt module. Once it cools off, the connection is remade and it temporarily connected to tunerstudio before the solder melts again. Is there any one that services dead DIYPNP's? I sent PFTuning an email via their site, but have not gotten a response yet.
I am debating on just dumping this unit and going the route I was going to, before I was trying to be a cheap-*** and getting a second-hand DIYPNP and VVTuner.

OK, there was an issue with a little strand from the 12V wire touching VREF that caused the magic smoke to leave the Microsquirt module. I have since corrected the wiring at both 12v and VREF and installed a new module. I am able to flash the firmware, and get the car running using the start-up map on DIYAUTOTUNE's website. The car runs and will stay running for while with no problems. I am however getting a few strange errors (I will upload new MSQ and data logs this evening). When I enable FIDLE, I can get the idle valve to function correctly. When I enable A/C Idle up, using FLEX as the input, I get an error stating that the "Idle pin in already in use". Also, I have a working tach in my cluster ('99), but Tacho out is not enabled. When I rev the motor it revs fine, except for full throttle. Full throttle over about 4k, I get stumbles and loss of sync errors, both 31 and 32. I using a BRAND NEW cam sensor and have tried both 12v and 5v pull-up on OPTO+. At 5v, the car will not start.
Has anyone got any ideas for me to try?
I have seen it mentioned that changing the wheel type to 36-1 can help with the sync errors on the cam sensor, but why am I getting a tach signal with tacho not enabled?

Anyone have any ideas? I am going to try to hack up the factory harness as per the Spec Miata recommended fix and see what happens.
I almost want to give myself negative cats for all the fail in this thread.
