I get NON Stop flames lol..

and if its slower its on Fuel cut only.

Spark cut is much much quicker like it would be on a sport bike.

Ill take a video tomarrow to show the diffrence, if it wasnt 4am and a straigh piped miata wasnt super loud bouncing off the launch control ide do it right now.

Oh and someone should add this stuff to the MS FAQ, like the Digram to build, were to wire it to use the stock clutch switch.
Then the video i make to show the 2 diffrent settings.

The wire to connect to is in the main wiring harness diagram I've posted in the FAQ (1V 90-95), simply connect that to JS11.

the end.

Did you set the throttle ADC? Figure out what your throttle ADC is at full throttle (right-click->Swap To->"TPS ADC") and then set it like 10-15 points lower than that. You have to have the switch on, clutch down, and be at full throttle before the launch control will engage.

I could never get launch control to work without a variable TPS, regardless of the throttle ADC value.

depends on your limit types...you can alter them to work faster and to cut spark...should be able to make it see full boost...

I can work up around 4-5psi with a very slow fuel cut only:

I have Launch control working with a Non Variable tps, infact i have no tps signal because the non variable signal is worthless to ms.

My launch control is set to 3700rpm, spark cut only.

Settings are,
Retard ign above 4000
retard to 5
enable launch when tps above o
hard limit 3700

Here is a video of it, i wired it to my horn button, since my clutch switch wasnt working.
Im only Part throttal because WOT launch control is very very loud, and im not gonna do that at my house.

I got my launch control working today and pulled the plugs for the neutral switch that are on the transmission and it works great. Flat shift kicks *** too, but for some reason it sounds like its cutting spark only, so i only did it a few times.

Do those of you who are using this feature give up rev matching or something? I think I am going to have to wire in an on/off switch, because I rev-match to downshift normally and it bugs me that launch control does not allow that

I'd wondered about rev matching, and thats part of the reason I went with a button. Counldn't you wire in a toggle to say launch is either on or off.

that is what I am thinking. I just wish there was a function to tell the computer that past a certain rpm, launch control is off or something like that ... seeing that I can barely hook up at 2k rpm, that would help a lot.

What about just setting the Flat shift arming rpm to like 500rpm above your launch control point ?

I'm bringing this thread back to life. I just setup my launch control. It works fine but when driving at 5000rpms it's like a hit a rev limiter or something. Any idea what that could be?

Launch control: on
Retard Ignition above: 2000
Retard to: 5
Enable Lauch when TPS above: 150
Launch Control Hard Limit: 2200
Variable Launch: off
Flat Shift arming rpm: 15000
Flat Shift mod retard above rpm: 0
Retard to: 5
Flat shift hard rev limit: 100

Rev limits are set to 7100 (soft) and 7200 (hard)
and everything is set to spark cut

Mine works fine, but I wonder about launch at anything higher than 3800 without a 1.8 rear, and diff.

Necropost time.

I have the MSPNP9093, and have wired 12 & 13 together, and the software refuses to enable launch control. No matter how many times I hit burn, the indicator at the bottom of Megatune still says "launch off". The only thing I can think of is possibly the FM clutch switch override I have, but IIRC it doesn't cut off the switch used for launch control.

Halp!

I can't speak to the FM over ride since I don't have one, but I can't imagine how that would effect anything, since I've been able to "toy" with launch control both with the clutch engaged, and disengaged. I know its wierd, but I was bored one day.

Not sure of the relevance of this, but I never could get the launch control working hooked to the clutch switch either. Best I could see my car only had one clutch switch (wtf??) which was used to disengage the starter w/out clutch depressed. Best I could tell something with the cruise control system was playing some pranks on it. Checked the resistance between the clutch switch and ground, which reduced when I depressed the clutch but not to zero, and went further down if I depressed the brake. Maybe I was doing something wrong so just hooked to a momentary contact push button I can use with my hand.
