What happened to the project?

Did it work or not?

I have messed around with those Motorola and those things are super fragile, I prefer to buy the big bulky one sold on EBAy used on EManage Blues.

Waiting for an update of this fabulous project... October 22, 2009

I'm not sure what happened to the adapter mentioned before. As far as I know the project was never completed.

But the STS crowd was eager to have something by nationals, and I was simultaneously working on something similar, so I ended up developing my own adapter.

The key for our class was to get all of the emissions controls working (check engine lights included). However, I designed the adapter before I realized that was going to be necessary. I've updated the adapter for emissions controls... I just need to send off for some more units.

About a dozen STS miatas have these emissions-legal megasquirts, but I did most of them by hand with the help of Andrew Pfotenhauer. We've tested the adapters on a couple of cars for the last few months, and they work great, so they'll go in all future builds.

As soon as I get the new adapters back I'll post some pics!
