MS2PNP settings for sequential spark with COPs

I'm going to be attempting to install a Toyota COP kit from trackspeed engineering soon. It is going on a 90 miata with 1.6 engine running MSPNP2 from DIY. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I understand correctly there is no way to run the COP setup with sequential spark on this ECU. If that's the case, is it even worth upgrading to COPs if they're still going to be running batch fire?

Yes, it's still worth it. The functional differences between sequential and batch ignition are pretty small and mostly relate to coil heat and longevity. The vast majority of kits that go out are set up for batch-fire, and you still get all the spark strength benefits of the better coils even when they are fired in batch.

ms2 can do seq. spark.
ms2 has limited inputs and outputs.
i'd rather have seq. fuel.
adding seq. ignition before fuel is dumb.
removing things like a/c idle or being able to control the fans, in order to have enough inputs and ouputs to run seq. ign. is dumb.
seq. spark + seq. fuel (8 outputs) is a walk in the park for ms3.
for example, a MSPNP2 would require: fuel 1, fuel 2, pt6 and pt7 for fuel. then ign 1, ign 2, ALD, and WLD for ignition.
ALD and WLD are wired in use by default IIRC so you'd have to rework how those two outputs functions. Probably the A/C compressor and cooling fan.
long story short: wire your MSPNP2 for seq. fuel, but deal with wasted cop.

Partially true. The processor varient used in MSPNP Gen2 has up to 4 spark outputs. However in this application, it has 2 spark outputs, and the other 2 are used as general purpose I/O (1 for cooling fan acivation, the other is spare in this model). If you wanted to give up cooling fan activation, it is possible to set up for sequential coil per plug ignition. Howver I do not personally feel that it would be fair to call such mods plug and play. In other words, it's outside the intended scope of the product, but it is *possible* a saavy user could do it.</p><p>
See above. Resell your Gen 2, they sell fast, and get a Pro if you require sequential ignition. It'll also get you all the other MS3-Pro based enhancements, which are numerous. </p><p>FYI, I ran wasted COP on my turbo Miata for 5+ years with a DIYPNP.</p>

To the MT.net noob it can't do seq. Ign. Were talking about someone who bought an mspn2. Not a DIY, not someone who can rewire the board. If this was a standalone ms2 that someone bought I would say different. But he was asking what jumpers to put where. Not what features to cut and where to rewire.

Sequential ignition using pins 14 & 15
Has anyone had any success with configuring a MS2PNP using pins 14 & 15, and also reconfiguring the jumpers to enable ign C & D?
i have a trackspeed sequential COP and would like to configure it as sequential, willing to give up fan control and currently not using IAC.
i realize the benefits are minimal, its an engineering challenge now.
