getting ready to make the turbo leap.

ebay turbo is the only sure thing in his list! i personally have put thousands of miles on china turbo's, make as much power as the motor can handle, have run trackday's,drag, rally-x,auto-x,and thousands of street miles on them. and have friends that have done the same. as a matter of fact a friend and i double drove his ls swapped civic with a china charger at a pca tt in 95* south texas heat with zero problems. that's 40 min. stints with 20min. breaks from 9 am to 4:30pm.
apexi s-afc can work ok it's used correctly.
we used one on our shop crx, made 238whp, (@ 9psi, most we could run on oem obd0 ecu) ran, idled, cruised like a stock car. ran 12.1 at the dragstrip and would top out 140mph at a fast road course. also china charged i must add.
not sure how he could use a 3bar map sensor on a stock ecu though, so that sounds like a newb mistake.
also, not sure on the miata oem fpr, but on a honda or most other n/a cars, the fpr is not rising rate or boost referenced. meaning the fpr stops adding fuel at 0 vac. NOT what you want on a turbo car, even if you left it at factory fuel psi, you need it to add fuel for every pound of boost.
and yes, everybody's right op, all you need is a 190lph walboro. but unless your fuel pump has a **** ton of miles and want to play it safe, you don't need to swap it out.
i hate cheap part racism. a bunch of people talkin' **** about something they have no experience with. ignorance breeds hate. you f'kin parts natzi's........... lol

my friend bought something close to that fleabay crap and the mani kept on cracking on him to the point where he got a welder. then after that, the turbo went out on him. But then on the other hand, I had friends with no problem on their shanghai turbos, so it might be a hit and miss on that aspect.
