Default Need Clutch Replacement Tutorial

I am starting my turbo build-up by replacing the stock clutch with a FM Level 1 clutch. I'm new to Miatas and have only had my 2002 SE 6 speed car for 8 months. I plan to DIY as much as possible. I have a couple of questions:

1. I need to buy a Miata repair or service manual that would cover normal things like clutch replacement. My local AutoZone, etc. did not even list such a Miata manual. Where can I get one, and fast?

2. I have searched this forum for "How To's" and ran across a link to a write-up on M.net covering clutch replacement. I'll download that. I found a reference to Samnavy's write-up on Clutch Replacement but it was not to be found. Anyone know how I can get access to that? It was reputed to be better than the m.net article.

Thanks for your help.

Finish Line Performance Can sell you the factory service manual. That will teach you how to do anything on the car. Now what are you curious about the clutch install.

I'm not terribly worried about the clutch replacement, but I have never been under a Miata yet, except to install the bottom plates for my double hoop roll bar. I'm sure I can figure it out, but I'm thinking that there are probably some things to be sure to avoid or remember to do that are unique to the Miata. I'd like to see someone's write-up with pics to get a good idea what to expect before I take my wife's fun car out of service. I have removed rear engines and trannies from dunebuggies and VW dozens of times, and there are hints I would give to a noob for that job as well.

Thanks for the reference on shop manual.

Anybody know how to retrieve Samnavy's write-up on Clutch Replacement?

Thanks, guys for your efforts to help, although it was after the fact. I originally posted Sept. 1 and completed the clutch job about a week later. The first few replies at that time really helped me. I got a copy of a repair manual and printed the English guy's write-up and all went well. Actually, a pain in the *** job, but it went without problems. I installed an FM Level 1 clutch and pressure plate. My flywheel was perfect. Clutch works great, but I am still normally aspirated. My wife and I just returned today from a Miata + Porsche 911 + MiniCooper(John Cooper Works version) trip to Arkansas with two other couples. We carved the highways in the mountains for three days and had a blast. I made an effort to install my Adaptronic ecu and 600 cc injectors but had some huge problems and had to revert back to bone stock for this trip. I have BEGI S5 kit in hand waiting for the bugs to be worked out of the engine management system first. But all this is another story I will post soon in a build thread I need to start.
