This is what I do. Never a problem.

That is what I have been doing. I'll have the ECU on, car running, then start the log, then start MLV live trail.

It is an Eee PC with 2GB ram running XP and a 160 GB HD.

i'm using a PC-card to serial adapter. I haven't tried the MLV realtime stuff yet.

I just meant to see if the random "-"s go away. If the playback features works then the tail should as well.

did a boatload of "live logging" tonight. works as described. worked for 50 minutes straight. tolerated the car dying and restarting. pretty cool. much easier to use than the adaptronic software's dashboard.

Yeah, dieing is OK. (I have lots of experience with that.) As long as you don't turn the key to off, it will generate one continuous log.

OK I figured it out. It was indeed a personal problem
I had the AFR and lambda sensors checked for the LC-1. No need for that, so I unchecked them both. Also I had tab delimited set (default), so I changed that to comma delimited. Now it works great. I ran a live trail for about 35 minutes, no hiccups.

I am not sure which if the settings caused the problem, but whatever, it is working now.

The only time I get that is if I don't properly stop a log.

I decided to whip said script up this morning:
http://tim.kent.googlepages.com/Adap...gConverter.vbs

Converts log files from Adaptronic so they work in MegaLogViewer without modification to properties file. Also removes any lines without data.

USAGE: Drag and drop Adaptronic log file(s) onto this script, it will write the changes back to the original file(s).

Let me know what you think!

Whats the purpose of the vbs? I have never had to modify any logs or MLV in order to view a adaptronic pog in MLV.

I had some logs where I had switched the car off with the Adaptronic software still running. It was choking on the empty lines.

I'll update the script to replace any instance of "-" with "0", after the empty lines have been removed.
