Heyyy congrats! Looks like she rips! I had a feeling the breather setup would fix things since your symptoms were like mine. Still going strong 20k+ later here. Minimal buildup in the can too, now that it breathes correctly. Hope you get to enjoy the heck outta that car!

Thanks man. Yep gonna fill with e85 soon after I burn this 93 off and see if I can’t destroy this six speed next. Lol. Yep I had just a tablespoon of water instead of a cup of chocolate milk in the can after a 30 minute rip. And no oil in the filter or turbo. Fingers crossed.

Default Topless

Went for a rip of a drive with my buddies 69’ Camaro. Before we went he goes: “why don’t you take the hardtop off?” I was dumbstruck. Ok! A few bolts later. Ficking awesome. Not going back till it’s cold. Amazeballs experience like ripping on a moto.

The car looks so damn good. Glad to see you enjoying it. Makes me jealous of your BBFW spoiler, still thinking I might go to that on a spare trunk to have fully detachable aero.

And big +1 to the convertible experience. As a bolt-on hardtop guy I don't do it enough, and when I do it's so great. Turbo noises and the exhaust is so great topless, much closer to the enjoyment of a moto in the sensory way. And a nice extra sensation of speed to boot!

People who never go topless are seriously missing out. I know the hardcore track crew doesn't care that these cars are convertibles but I'm very much in the camp that loves the convertible part of Miata ownership.

In some ways even better than moto (sacrilege, I know)... No helmet!

It took getting a 2nd miata before I realized how fan-*******-tastic they are to drive topless on a nice day in a canyon. Or just piddling around town on a nice day. Anyways, now I'm seriously considering making some changes to my turbo car so that I can enjoy it topless more, especially now that it drives so nicely. Need some xidas too...

My soft top fits like dog **** thanks to the PO installing it with self tapping screws, but even with a hard top in the garage I run the soft top pretty much constantly. Every once in a while I think about saving weight by removing the soft top but being able to be topless in a couple seconds is so worth it. Sure you can pull the hardtop and run around topless for a day, but even with the ease of breaking into a car with a soft top it still gives me a little peace of mind to be able to put it up when I run into a shop.
