Depends on weight. 103 might be a little optimistic. I did 101ish at 220hp.

Car has ps and abs with cc and ac deleted, still . Car is probably 2300lbs?
Maybe reading sonofthehill's thread are getting me too optimistic

You can't use launch control because MS1, right?

That'd be a pretty sweet use of ABS! Honestly, I wish I had ABS for only this reason. Well, and the fact that it helps save you from getting flat spots on tires too easily...

aidandj 03-01-2017 01:17 PM

ABS != LC. It can do traction control with extra hardware.

If it's your first trip to the strip then you are probably a bit optimistic. Launches are the most important part.

Whoops. Thanks for the correction. I thought you could program the abs computer to do other fun stuffs.

aidandj 03-01-2017 02:19 PM

You can use the abs sensors to do traction control things, but the abs computer doesn't do anything but abs

Yeah, that's what I was getting at I think. Thanks for clearing up the confusion though!

MS1 has launch control. I haven't tried it.

Really? I'm running the original v3.0 DIY kit, not a pnp, I remember seeing greddygalant running it on his gen 1 pnp along with flatshift.

I'm so down to make the trip up to Epping with you. Let me know when you go! Plus, I'll make you look great I've never dragged before. Would love to get kicked out because of no roll bar

This thread helped me a lot Megasquirt Support Forum (MSEXTRA) ? Can someone identify mods? Launch control? (View topic)
The only reason I asked is because I have no idea whether you have a 3.0 diy or gen 1 pnp. I don't know if you have to mod the gen 1 pnp to get launch control/ flatshift

I think you can run no roll bar in epping as long as you don't run anything faster than like a 13 flat

Oh thought it was a 13.99. Maybe that's for having a passenger? Either way I'm in

Wednesday Street Night | New England Dragway
13.99 or faster needs a helmet
13.49 convertible or faster needs a rollbar, I doubt either of us will run under a 13.5 being my first time aswell

Well I guess that's the new goal! But yeah I agree not making the power even if we had the skill

Forrest95M 03-02-2017 08:53 PM

I just hope my dump pipe doesn't qualify as an open exhaust

The_WW 03-02-2017 09:10 PM

Going to assume it won't. They would need to look under the car to see where it ended. Imagine test and tune tech will be fairly straightforward

Colipto 03-03-2017 12:54 PM

I'm in on this, epping is where i always go

adamiata 03-03-2017 01:24 PM

I'm local to Epping but haven't been to the dragway in a while. Would love to get my car out there the same night you guys do, if I can get my car sorted out in time.
