Don't think I will have time for a dyno very soon. Maybe next weekend. Might get @afm to tag along.

Currently have 0 ducting up front. Car got super hot on the freeway trip home in 100* weather. But thankfully the track day tomorrow is supposed to be cold. So I'm adding an undertray and a rad panel and calling it good.

Exciting updates, I know.

First miata to ever justify a cooling panel.

What the hell is that wrench ? It looks like a weapon.

Got a pic of the new coil mount?......wait, today is wednesday.

aidandj 05-31-2017 12:20 PM

Its an aluminum AN wrench. So you don't mar the fittings. I don't like how its adjustable. I would like a fixed set for the garage, but its nice to have in the toolbox.

I'll take pictures of the new mount when it shows up. Need to go get some etching primer and more spray paint.

portabull 05-31-2017 12:46 PM

even if you have a set of AN wrenches, the adjustable is good to have for the "other side".

aidandj 05-31-2017 12:48 PM

Yeah. Usually I use soft jaws for the other side.

Making AN10 hoses put the hurt on the adjustables. China aluminum did not like how tight I had to make them lol.

Of course now I have all my lines built, and am shopping for non adjsutable.

I said the same thing. And now have a set on the way to me.

portabull 05-31-2017 08:40 PM

Me too.

Steve Dallas 05-31-2017 08:59 PM

Me three.

rleete 05-31-2017 09:18 PM

You won't use them as much as you think.

And why aren't you using a properly sized flare wrench for fittings? It's the one thing designed to be used for them so it won't slip off.

aidandj 05-31-2017 09:23 PM

Because fancy aluminum anodizing.

18psi 05-31-2017 09:33 PM

underhood looks like a smurf orgy, interior looks like a swamp, body panels have rivets in em and peeling, but BRO DON'T YOU DARE SCRATCH THOSE ANODIZED FITTINGS DOE

:D:D

I fully support this build ethos.
