So far so good. :)

Quick questions:

1.) Are you worried about the clearance between the front hoop of the cage and the steering wheel? Looks kinda close.

2.) Are you going to fabricate a cover for the driver's side cutout on the transmission bell-housing? I would think you wouldn't want to leave that open to the elements (dirt, grease, gravel, etc.)

3.) Take out that rear subframe and PAINT IT. lol. Good lord I'm glad I don't live where there's snow. lol.

1. it's just the angle of the camera, there's plenty of room.

2. most likely yes, but I'm going to wait to get the downpipe before I do anything. I have a few ideas but I don't want to make something and then find out it needs to come off to fit the downpipe.

3. Going to clean it up when I start on the rear diff bracket

I bet you wore that camera out! Nice build man.

I am trying to take as many pictures as possible, as there aren't many pics for the TII swap process to help everyone who goes down this road in the future. The only ones I have found are the ones on crash's site.

wow!

thanks for all the compliments! It's always nice to see my hard work appreciated. I'll be back at it next weekend, so I won't have much to report until then unfortunatly.

Great work so far. And a stellar idea documenting the TII swap.

Not much done to my car this weekend, although we got my buddy Tom's buggy started which was a huge accomplishment. The last time it ran it was a 1989 toyota pickup truck, and it was 2 years ago. We stripped the harness down to bare necessities, and after a pesky grounding issue with the afm/fuel pump, and a bad connection with the starter solenoid, it fired right up! I forgot the camera, so no pictures :( . I know, I'm slacking....

I did manage to install my rear coilovers though. I've been stockpiling parts, so I'll post a few of the recent arrivals :D .

I'm going to have to port the manifold flange to match the ports on the motor- can't have those weenie holes!

hahahahha I love it!

UrbanSoot 04-07-2008 10:21 PM

why do you need fpr when you have those injectors?

ldp82 04-07-2008 11:40 PM

thats one hell of a build! who did your head?

Trent 04-07-2008 11:47 PM

yep, those injectors are beefy. What are you going to use to drive them? Megasquirt? If so, like mentioned, you shouldn't need that FMU.
