Ok, now it's done. Finished the drain and some mounts that I can never repair if I have too.

The mount. Then the mount with the Allen bolt pressed in. .020 interference, so I had to use some heat...

Done.

I sent my MS to Brain to have it checked out, so I had some time to do some of this other stuff. Stuff that I would otherwise spend much, much less time on. This system of madness and defeat seams to be working for me.

Again, all this for a 2560??

I'd take a proper 2560 setup over a janky jerry rigged 3071 setup all day urry day.

besides, if the car is tip top and you get the itch for big power later, 2560 simple setups sell really easy because they've been the classic favorite for the past 20 years, and you can just upgrade turbo+hotside to EFR bits and make absurd, unnecessary power

k

I'll tell that to my friend with his 2jz/precision 500whp+ spin machine that can't beat my 400whp wrx no matter what unless we do some moronic 80mph rolling start and go to 160mph

I was going for the insta-spool when this all started..If I went to the small EFR, any idea what kind lag it would have, compared to the 2560? Any?

Hindsight is not the word.
Technology is.
Just like the 1.6 sucks. And compared to the 2L the 1.8 is mediocre. And compared to the new ND engine the NC 2L is inferior. and so on

and in 5-10 years some other turbo will come out that will make the borg not the new hotness.

In hindsight if I knew I would get this deep. An AFR would have been the way to go. Or Rotrex....

I tend to get all regretty (like you) when my cars are down for a very long time and I don't get to enjoy them.

One of the reasons I vowed to myself to never have a car on jackstands for more than a couple days at a time. ever

people with builds that take years before the car even hits the road amaze me with their patience. unless you have another fun car, I just don't see how one could do it

damn motor is pretty. How did you do the intake manifold to look like that? Painted?

Also I just ordered that radiator you have. How do you like it? Can you compare it to any other radiator you have used on performance or fitment?

Powder coated the manifold. Can't say anything about the radiator yet. The car has been on stands for officially 1 year today. I has a sad.
