Haven't yet begun to cut were it needs to be for the cage. Will be having a little Salvagewon circumcision party to make proper cuts

Question - eliminate ABS or retain?

Eliminated so far

Carbon came in yesterday. Still searching for something up front.

Cheaper Megan Racing wing - not near the adjustments you can get like an APR. I'll have to make something to give me more than 2 AOA choices.

Subbed!

fun build. If you're planning on going with harnesses ilo seat belts, there is a not insignificant amount of weight that can come out with those seat belt towers.

Just got back from a 2 week break to stick a deer with an arrow. Back on prepping car and cage.

Love the eliminator build. After your first post I spent two evenings with Google to find out all about it. I'm inspired and very tempted.
Not a big fan of IPAs though. Get some decent Pilsener instead (German of course, Czech is acceptable too).

Back to work now. I will require a full report on how many work hours it took.

Got word the machining on the block and head is compete - now to pickup and install happiness!

And for those asking, here's the spec sheet (not final)

There's also an SCCA legal version with poly windshield and a couple other things (dash, nets, fire suppression, etc...)

Came for the rampant sawzall action, stayed for the double/triple IPAs

It takes some of the "purity" away from the car to add a windshield but I'd be inclined to have one to keep bugs, rocks, sand, and oils from other cars from hitting my helmet visor. And then there's the wind buffeting.

That eliminator above was one of the faster cars at TGPR at the last TT event, and that was without being able to get the tires warm. It's got tags, too!

FTW! Andy isn't a stranger to driving either... I wasn't around that weekend otherwise I'd have been there

He did pretty well at the Roebling double points finale, too. The thing is a disaster with no heat in the tires and brakes, but is a screamer after that. If I recall, the only problem he had was a fuel slosh issue that was leaking from the cap or filler neck. It was fun following him for a while just to watch. His two old turbo Miatas now belong to one of my SU class nemeses to boot. I believe he's talking about going turbo on the Eliminator next.
