Hmm some of those welds dont look like they penetrated very much.

It is mostly tack welded together so far. I will go back with a bigger filler rod and make sure everything is good a bit later. As of right now though you can lift up the whole lamp by the top rod and there is no movement.

Nothing new has been done. I did get a second 6UL from Soviet this past weekend to be used for lamp #2. I am out of town the next 2 weekends and hopefully will be putting an offer in on a house this week. So my time to work on this is extremely lacking right now.

One day I will finish the lamp. I need to drill a hole big enough in a piston for the light bulb to screw into, and then weld it to the lamp, run the power line and it will be done. It just has not been high on my todo list.
