This car was already pretty awesome. Now it's progressing towards legendary.

Edit: And yes to matte orange for a race car.

Fitment almost complete. Turbo now mated to manifold and exhaust. Going to use a 10mm (~1/2") spacer so I don't have to pull the exhaust forward and cause strain. Figured out 99% of the oil/water lines. Turbo almost 'hit block', so the inside water line is fiddly. The oil return may prove tricky if my return is more to the front of the pan, which seems the case.

Oh, the intercooler pipes fit flawlessly. The cold side is clocked now. Spray painted the new pipes.

Fabbed a new oil return line and finalized the oil inlet and water in/outlet. Clocked the compressor side. Awaiting some parts so I can finalize the turbo installation.

Right now I'm on safety wire detail so I can safety wire the cold side bolts.

Safety wired the compressor housing and bolted that sh*t up.
New oil drain line completed. It's tight with the steering rack, compressor outlet pipe and all, but will work.

Got the new rear hubs ready to fit. No pics of those.

Small stuff:
- Rear bump stops shortened
- Exhaust spacer arrived
- New hubs mounted in the rear uprights with ARP studs

Really looking forward to hear how you like the AST's. Do you have any restrictions/law's about build your car in NL?

So, all the stuff is bolted up!
Car starts, oil the grease is smoking off, turbo makes scary sounds.

Need to fix wastegate plumbing, install suspension, rear hubs and get some dyno time.

That did not seem to strange. I know Hustler got upgraded bearings and such inside the turbo which might account for a little of the noise. I can see if I can get a video of how mine sounds being spun by hand when I get home.

Oil drain has oil, so I am probably overreacting. I feel better about it than I did last night.
Also, how tight are those v-bands supposed to be? I think I still have a slight exhaust leak somewhere.

I've already killed one on the test pipe Luckily I had a spare. Hand tools only.

My bb turbo you would hear spin for a long time when it was turned off.

prime the oil in the turbo before you start the car and almost guaranteed your noise will go away
