Little car BIG dumpster fire part II
lol. Walk away, go have a beer, come back tomorrow and you'll get it done in no time. **** just gets worse when you're worked up and frustrated. Happens to me almost every time I work on the car.
How did you arrive at the conclusion that the TPS is defective?
I would verify that your wideband is broken before you replace it. No offense but you don't seem to have any idea what you're doing, so it's more than likely that you just don't have it hooked up right, or it might be something little like a dead sensor. Throwing $160 at the problem without having an understanding of what is actually wrong doesn't have a great chance of success.

Makes sense, and the wideband has been throwing the E8 error code on and off lately. I'd have to check the wiring again since the shop did it. And the tps had no voltage going to it whatsoever.
Got a diagram handy? I didn't look into this much when i did this job the other day. I swapped two wires and went on with my ilfe.
I suspect there's a ground in the wiring going TO the TPS. If so, do you get a good ground through that?
