Almost didn't make it to the track today due to the heat, but I thought I'd torture test the car and see what happens. It was around 39* C. Water temp gauge slowly creeped up to about 3/4 while pushing really hard to keep pace with an annoying 911 with R comps - possibly from being in his draft. Never went past halfway otherwise. On the other hand, my friend had a typical day in the ownership of his e39 540i when one of his coolant hoses blew.

I had so much alone time on the track that I started getting bored and tried new lines and drifting. On one of the tight turns my outer front sidewall seemed to collapse and dig in hard. It made contact with my fender and julienned my tire.

I got about 4GB video recordings of ****. My memory card is all corrupt. I would have had so many good clips. The only one that works is uploading to Youtube. It's slightly boring as I was driving pretty slowly waiting for people to get on the track. I'll post it in the morning.

Ordering some new rear pads as mine are now to the backing plate and screeching. I also thought my exhaust was broken, only later did I realize that I forgot to put my ear plugs in

You're doing it right!

I would like a track day with nobody on the track!

No complaints whatsoever about the Wilwoods. I haven't even put the HT pads in yet. Still using the HPS (or was it HP+). I can't wait to get new tires, I think they're limiting my max braking right now.

Throw those HT10's in, and you will be blown away. Even with your street tires. The pedal feel and initial bite is a lot different (better IMO).

Best tip when installing these is to use soap and water, or your favorite lube.

I had some scrap 304 turned into seat mounts. Need to find someone to make a couple bends for me. The plan is to do a small production run on these if there is enough interest. The 90* cuts will be rounded and the rear mount holes will be radiused off the fronts to allow for layback adjustment.

Turn your speakers down. You can hear the flat shifting in the first video This is the first time I'm hearing my car from outside. I was driving, my friend filming.

I won't be making any Audi seat mounts.

On another note; do not run HT-10 front and DTC-30 rear. I had to be very conscious about my braking in order to not lock up the rears. Should I get DTC-30 in the front, or get HT-10 in the rear? Both of these pads sound like they're machining my rotors down to dust.

I thought I turned the camera off, but it was in continuous photo mode so I have like a billion pics now. The GoPro is pissing me off.

Oh yeah, I was pulling on that M roadster in the straights until I over-cooked that last straight and just decided to not turn right, but stop into the safety area.

Got most of it apart, just have to clean everything, measure and wait for parts.

The new rod feels like there is a hair of play on the wrist pin while the stocker feels tight, but both rod small ends measure 0.789".

Yay, finally. Is it just me or does that piston face look damaged?
