Gnaaaaaaahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa, i'm so exited, i got my hand on a use(almost mint condition) Bride Stradia Carbon/Kevlar! Got only one tho!





I still need to test fit it in the car, mesurement looks alright!

Even got cat approval!

 

This post needs some heavy update!
2014 was quite a year for me, i tried hard to get the car up and running for the summer '14, but personnal and professional change had made it quite difficult!

So if i go back from where we left the thread.

I did a mild exhaust port polish and intake port clean + gasket match







Prepped and painted the block.


As i was waiting for parts to come in, I got my Rack&Pinion pinion chaft TIG welded!

 

So as the prepping continues, i got my buddy willing to get me some cam gears while he was in japan for a couple of month, so i got all exited and this happened.



Then got some custom thermostat adapter spacers, blank with ridge for a miata sized thermostat to fit and clocked for kia's neck. This is test fitting on dummy engine/head/bellhousing.

 

And then, parts started to come in, wich my wallet was unhappy about!

Radiator + Fan shroud.


Pistons and rod(84mm 8.5:1 wiseco) too pretty to even put into an engine!


Manley rod(wich i had to compare with stock ones)


And then, a buddy see's the picture, and send me this back(Stock BP rods VS 6XXci truck pull alcohol engine)

Supertech HD valve spring(got a set of exhaust valve Standard size but did'nt got them on picture)


Super miata damper.(To fit with ZM-DE reluctor wheel.)


And non engine related parts, Bride seat rail(for low max) because my custom one i made had me sit a bit high...

 

Then i got all my head parts to the machine shop, waited too long. finally got it all, Head assembled and block decked and bored. SHINY THINGS!





So here is the fun part, hours and hours of mesurements and assembly.

Boundary street oil pump with gates new water pump.

Pretty much final before beeing transplanted into the car.(the stock damper is for ease of first start and break-in period only)

And there it is, final assembly for 2014, just got in in storage for winter, had barely the time to break it in. Sorry for poor pictures, will get some nice one next spring, since winter around here are pretty bad! Will post future project in a list form. Since the car is running on stock exhaust, 1.6 stock clutch and 4.10 gear with 6 speed, there is going to have some changes!
