I haven't had a laptop in the car in a while. Decided to pull the logs and have a look. Well....

I'm apparently running 35 PSI, and at 7,000 RPMs the ID 1300 injectors that flow 1700cc/min at my fuel pressure, are at 97.3% duty cycle with AFR's of 10.8. That explains why it fells, uh, pretty fast. LOL maxed out ID1300s! I made a pull to 7500 and it leaned out but was ripping!

Did I mention it's retarded quick? I need more injector, lot more. I wanna run 45 PSI and see what that's like. I'm guessing it's back to 500whp or so right now based on the duty cycle, but now doing that with 1,500 RPM less, and 3 lbs less boost vs two years ago.
You should try these: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F182889634942
2200ccs should beget you where you need to go

Probably go next time the track is open. Wanted to go friday but was busy, and it snowed on Thursday night in Houston. LOL. So track was closed anyway.

Maybe? I dunno, how much HP can 1700cc x4 worth of E85 make? I know the auto kills the efficiency vs a manual, but on the up side, it stays in the powerband and doesn't stop pulling on gear changes. It's weird cause the auto feels slower, but goes faster. It's deceptive.

pat, are you 100% sure you're not losing fuel pressure up top?

just tuned a id1300cc subaru a couple weeks ago and he was losing pressure past 6k with a 320lph pump, we threw in a wally 450 and he's now at 84% at 6500 at 470whp, but pressure still drops. I know you got a massive double pumper, but are you monitoring pressures, or logging those?

I have twin 450's and a fuel pressure sensor, 50A relay for each pump, 10 gauge wires going through the sending unit to each pump. Fuel system is great, just out of injector.

welp, guess it's time for 1700's?
or twin injector banks. cause 2000's won't want to idle higher than 12.5 or so

Twin injectors would be ideal. May go that route, not sure yet. Also wondering if I could do some fuel nozzles that just turn on and inject extra fuel. Say once injectors hit 80%, the nozzles hit and injectors scale back to say, 20%. Would be a one nozzle per cylinder type setup.

Yes. 6AN lines. The only part of my fuel system that is stock, is the fuel tank.

I also have a meth injection kit I haven't used in a couple years. I used it to do pure water injection when I had the SC. I'm gonna look into using it with pure methanol. That would be perfect, and methanol has better cooling than ethanol too so I would get extra cooling at high power over running E85. Also I already have the system, so wouldn't take much to install it. Just need to buy some pure methanol and put the tank/pump in the car.

this thing needs to see a dyno or racetrack before you change things again

Track likely won't be open for a couple months or more because winter. I need to put a cage and some other stuff in the car to run it at full power at the track, sadly. There is a shop with a mustang dyno in Houston, maybe I'll go there and see what it does. Would rather get the boost up to full power, then dyno it and see what it can do.

Once installed you can obviously run with or without the meth so you can show both for the people who want science.

Right, but if something breaks and it takes Pat a few more days, the suspense might kill Vlad.

Think 5-10 years from now: someone is reading this thread. they see all the madness, and they wonder "so really, how fast is this car?".......no one knows. it can't be compared to anything. so they then think, "well certainly at least this guy got a dyno plot".......nope. Nothing. so dozens of pages of progress, and years of work, barrels of cash, and tons of discussion later and no one knows how much power this car had at pretty much any given time.

doesn't that seem like a waste?
"this setup makes lots of power"
"how much power?"
"no idea...lots"

...

"this car is fast"
"how fast?"
"no idea....fast"

It's like racing at the drag strip and never having time slips.
it's like road racing but never measuring the time.

You're making me feel like I should dyno my car too when I get it back to it's proper configuration.

Dynos are just no fun compared to drag racing. It sucks waiting for the spring season.
