Default Project Lagwagon (TO4E 1.6L)

so, cheesy title, I get it.

Anyway, heres the documentation for my build thread as it slowly comes together. It came together quickly but the installation will probably be over the next months time in an attempt to get the car together for August 28th (local event with about $10K in prize money).

Everyone laughs when I tell them what size my turbo is however I bought it for $50 and then I mostly get nods of "**** it, why not?" Which is why I bought this setup, I was looking for a moderate boost in power from my weakazz m45 setup and when the turbo came up for sale I figured now was the time to pull the trigger. The only thing cheap (read knockoff) about the build is the turbo, Everything else is pretty quality as I only like doing it right once.

Anyway, enough backstory here's what's happened so far.

boring boost gauge

WHATS COMING:

460cc injectors as 305's wont be enough

HKS BOV

AFR gauge

full 3" exhaust (vband?) driver side exit with a special sumthin sumthin.
I plan to patch the hole on the pax side to make the drivers exit look oem just for something different instead of just cutting the bumper up.

I think thats it I plan to have it tuned at the shop by our dyno guy for cheap/free and then I'll be the snot out of it. I have a spare motor, which I'm cleaning up the head currently to swap on, then I'll do a full build on that after the car is all sorted and such.

I wouldn't laugh at the turbo you happen to get your hands on. Got a tad larger one on my 1.6L Miata.

I'm getting this **** going again finally

I ran out of money and went into debt so i had to work work work to get some dollars back.

I just cleaned/flowed/rebuilt my Rx-7 injectors. I bought the 460cc injectors but they flowed 500/510cc's Is that normal???

I also picked up an HKS BOV and I'm ordering exhaust this week. So finally, I will have all my turbo parts and Next check will hopefully cover my tune and any final bits i need. Then I'll wait a little bit so that i can afford to fix whatever i break.

Pics to come later

What needs reworking? It fits alright, and i decided to route the Wastegate dump back into the DP, and I'll be doing that.

The injectors were tested at 43.5psi so that could be why they flowed that high. They were within 3% of one another which seems acceptable to me.

Everyone knows what a turbo looks like but I mocked up fitment last night and I'm excited because its starting to take shape

Hit a chunk of tire on the freeway that i didn't see until LAST second. Time for a new lip....again

poly or fiberglass?

I can't tell because of the pics. I think postage stamps have larger dimensions.

I guess you're lucky to score a SS DP made by BEGi for a T3 outlet on a ETD shorty manifold.

So confused. Just tell me what isn't going to work, I don't get what my DP has to do with the manifold and whether or not I have an EWG. The turbo is 5 bolt and so is the DP. Its not the separated gasses DP. It's a 3" which is going to take a lot of massaging to get to fit in the engine bay but I was aware of that. Something else I should be aware of???

It was a poly-lip but had been shattered before. I'll just order a new one when I'm done.
