I'm also sure someone will buy it. But I don't want to sell it because I LOVE it.
I'm all for having a ton of cars, but why do you need so many similar ones?
But hey, if you can swing it, and love all of them, then keep on truckin
I'd at least sell the vw's or something

I want my own mini brokedick version of Jay Leno's garage.
Sold the POS Eos, and Aidan is prob gonna pick up my older TDI. The wagon isn't going anywhere.
The way I see it, I'll always owe less than the ND is worth even if I put no money down (but will put money down to pay less interest... The lease money factor blows these days). In addition, neither the s2k nor the 10AE are depreciating at any significant rate at this point, so aside from having to pay insurance it's not costing me much to keep them around.
And hey I'm single, and my girlfriend said 'go for it!' When I told her I was thinking about it.
So... Charcoal 17X9 6ULs ?
What's dumber: owning 3 verts, or owning 3 cars all wearing 6ULs?

140 whp and 252 wtq for $350
How much have you driven an ND? Is there that much of a difference between the s2k and ND? In terms of it being a fun-comfortable-semi-fast-vert.
I'd say sell the s2k, lease the ND, then drive to AR and pick me up.

And, from what I experienced test driving a base model, it seems like the much better value. Add the XIDAs, swap in an LSD from a club . . . win. The base model doesn't seem nearly as "base" as previous generations.
Ed. Do it. You need three verts so you can be working on one, hsve one to drive, and I can borrow one when my car is on jackstands getting injections of awesome.

-LSD
-Billies
-Mazda Connect (this is HUGE for me)
-Bose audio (really a nice upgrade over the base system)
-17" wheels
-front air dam
And I believe the seat cloth is different.
Swapping in the factory LSD would be a roughly $1000 endeavor ($650+ship + pay drive line shop to install in diff).
I have no need for Xidas on this car -- not a racecar. Currently the plan would be to do springs on the stock Bilstein shocks, similar to what many do on MSMs. Either way, if I do replace the shocks completely, they'll pay back a bit because they're an upgrade for Sport or GT buyers.
17" wheels would go in the bin right away anyway, but I'm sure someone out there would want them, and they'd be worth more than the 16" Sport wheels.
But the biggie here aside from the LSD is Mazda Connect with Bose. The base model head unit is an exercise in ugliness and frustration IMO. I've spent months driving cars with the base radio, and months driving cars with the Mazda Connect system. I want Mazda Connect. This is not a racecar, I want the goodies, and really the only concession budget-wise is running springs on stock Bilsteins instead of Xidas. That's a trade I'll happily make on this car for its intended purpose.
To answer your question Josh, I've driven an MT sport, MT Club, and AT Grand Touring NDs. Maybe half hour ish drive time total. The S2k feels much faster and higher strung. I also far prefer the styling of the S2k -- very purposeful, no superfluous lines. And at the end of the day, the S2k will always feel more exotic than a Miata, even a really nice new Miata. I love the way the S2k revs, the visibility out the front... It just feels like a special car.
Ultimately the decision of whether to keep the S2k or not will happen after I have the ND and have driven it for a while. ND plan is exhaust, tune, springs, sways, wheels & tires, and as many miles as possible.

It's just a fantastic infotainment system with really nice Pandora and other bluetooth integration and a really nice interface... I probably won't bother with nav integration, and no backup cam available lol.
Also includes the Bose stereo, which is better in these new cars than it was in the NB's.
Iono though. I guess it's sorta tempting to go with the Sport, then do an OS Giken and Xidas......
Na. Club it is. Because #notracecar
