Yeah I hate doing the trans under the car, I actually prefer pulling the motor/tranny together then separating/joining outside the car.

I have changed clutches well over a dozen times with the motor in the car. Besides the first time I did it this was the one time where it was a PITA. I wanted to do it this way because I did not know if I would be able to get help putting in the motor with the trans attached and I did not know if I could do that by myself.

I finally got tags for the car today. Between that and the rain we have had I did not get to much done. So far I got the PPF hooked back up, started and alternator attached. I also got my intercooler and radiator back in. My coldside pipes with with the new IM so that is a bit plus. Tomorrow hopefully it is nice out and I can get the rest of the car back together.

Also when plugging in the plug for the coolant gauge sensor the little metal tab broke. So I ordered and actual oil temp/coolant temp gauge to install. I am hoping I can retrofit it into the spot that the stock coolant gauge goes.

Autometer 2 1/16th gauges will fit into the factory bezel ring. You have to disassemble them though and pull the inards out of the outer plastic casing.

That is great news, because the dual gauge I got is 2 1/16th.

Hopefully you can get it to work then.. I just test fit the thing and got busy with an exploded motor and it never went anywhere.

Yes $5 worth of parts was what made me cry.

So I got most of the hotside stuff hooked up. Right now I am test fitting all the coldside parts. It is definitely getting cramped on that side of the engine. I need to make one more run to advance tomorrow morning to pick up a few last hoses and then I should finish it up and get it started.

I don't know yet. Car has not been started. I was simply priming the pump to make sure I got oil pressure. I should know hot oil pressure tonight.

Awesome Lars.

I commend you, my friend, for getting right back on the horse (and kicking it's ***).

I will not get the car started tonight. I have to run to the parts store for a few more things and most likely by the time I get back and get them installed it will be to late to start the car and watch for leaks. Tomorrow morning will be when I see if the beast lives or not.

My car started and I had a gas leak. I forgot to tighten one of the clamps for my dual feed fuel rail.

Because of the leak, I ran out of gas. I guess I will be running to the gas station in a little bit after I eat lunch to get some new gas.

After putting new gas in I found another fuel leak at the back 2 injectors. I am not sure if they don't sit right with my dual feed rail or what. I will be pulling them out tomorrow to look at them.

Now it is time to go see Bad Religion.

Best just to replace the O-rings and dab a bit of petroleum jelly on them (Vaseline). Easy to nick these things and they will leak.

They were brand new o-rings and I used the jelly that DW sent with them. I think they are leaking out the bottom where they go into the head.
