Okay, so who cares about my woes.

I want a stubby antenna... A topic certainly lacking on this forum. I need to be first place in the local car show "limbo" and un screwing my stock antenna isn't cutting it.

Seriously though, i like FM radio(sometimes(i daily this car)) but i literally stand(eye to eye) LOWER than the top if my antenna.

The NB i have has a retractable antenna and i really want to take that one and put it in my NA, will this not work?
No, stupid idea...

What can i have as far as a stubby, non "limp ****" antenna?

It would eliminate the antenna in the back, and allow you to put it in the windshield frame or on the windshield itself.

Of course, if you just want a stumpy antenna, there are about eleventybillion aftermarket JDM y0 ones on eBay. Pick your poison

Or try to find something OEM you like and adapt it?

-_-

That's my point.

Do i spend $80 on a moss retractable antenna, $40 on a stubby, somehow swap my NB for free, or spend $5 on the ebay special "stubby" antenna...

My options are not limited i agree, but the information on the topic is.

I agree on the antenna, everyone tells me my NA looks like an RC car with the stock lightning rod on it.

A retractible is kinda nice when it's down since you cant see it at all, but still looks stupid when its up. Back when I had a celica, everyone would swap the power antenna for an S2K antenna, $50 new from Honda. Pricey for what you're getting...

After some quick googling, I feel like an S2K/stubby looks really out of place on an NA. I think I would go for something retractible. I know nothing about the possibility of swapping an NB one to the NA though.

Just read through your whole thread btw. Good stuff, all these MS build threads should help me out when I throw my turbo on this summer.

Why not an NA power antenna? My car, dads car, and the 95 I parted out all have the wiring and the mounts. Dads STO has and the 95 both had them, but the 95 looked some some hacked to **** thing that didnt bolt right in, whoever installed it like cut the bits of the fender out with wire cutters or some bullshitto make it fit.

Your dads car came with a power antenna, or just the wiring and mounts for it? I have an STO as well, I thought power antenna wasn't an available option for them.

Well to hell with it.

I cut and flared the stupid fuel line twice tonight and it still leaks. The best it could get it was to hold at 60psi. The only leaking fitting i found was on the feed side connecting the hardline to AN. So **** it, i'm going to eliminate that stupid connection and all hardline.

Anyone know if i can come off the soft line of the fuel filter to braided line somehow? Maybe come off the fuel filter itself with an AN fitting?

I just bought 20' of 6an startlite hose. lol

Its better to have hardline under the car. Suck less at flaring. When I have problems it was either because I was not paying attention and didnt have the cut flat and debured, or I didnt know what I was doing, and was cranking the **** out of the flaring tool and over flaring it.

I would probably be able to get it if the engine wasn't in the car.

I'm not pulling the engine.

Plus, these stupid tube nuts aren't even made for the fuel line size in our car.
Find me some that are, and i may reconsider.

I think there's enough extra hardline on the fuel filter that you can cut the bubble flare off and add your own an flare there.

Bryan was telling me that he bought a type of connector that utilized the bubble flare (on the original hardline). But for the life of me i can't find it. He said it was a russell or earl fitting, i can't remember. It was just a "slip over fit" and it tightened down.

I think that only works on NBs.

Are you talking about this thing?

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rus-644113

Because that's for NB fuel line fittings.

I think this is maybe what you are looking for?

Or maybe that's what you have? I think Soviet used these on his NA, you might ask him for advice. We've chatted via PM, he's super helpful.

Right, I believe I made that same comment in his thread.
