I lowered the timing up there, I realize most of this. But what about the oscillation on flat line boost duty?

Post or send me the actual log and tune and I'll take a look.

Well, I sent Pat my tune and log. I guess it's time to come clean, I have been working on my timing table for a 5 gallon blend of AV100LL that I was hoping to run last Wednesday. That is why I have been increasing my timing so much.

Pat, maybe you can help me figure out why my idle valve opens when it's not supposed to, as far as I can tell.

The only possibilities for a boost leak left that I can think of are my intake manifold and the compressor housing.

So I changed my wastegate can to another one I modded since I can't find any boost leaks. A little better, my old seal was melted but it still sealed. I ordered one I can swap springs in so we'll see how that goes. This is a 3rd gear spool, can't spool 4th without the track, no race this week. I am adjusting the timing, haven't seen boost that low before, also I upped my MAP smoothing from 20% to 40% although Pat wants me to set it to 100%. Not yet man, let me get the other can.

Yes, I will take some pics when I pull the other can apart, I did run a few hundred miles without my little pie pan heat shield though, not sure if it melted then.

Is this what I need to make the 255l pump and Fuelab regulator work right? Will I have any problems running my injectors at 70 or 80 psi?

Can't seem to find a picture of the other side anymore but it has the o ring a few millimeters from the end.

70-80 base? Or differential?

Hmmm, I was thinking base, but maybe I should just run a boost reference to increase pressure when I need it.

IIRC they should work all the way up to 100psi or 7 bar

So be careful cranking them up too high.

Run manifold referenced if you can. It involves more work but will work better.

if you run 80psi base, then you are trying to idle with 80psi of fuel pressure. And at 20psi of boost you only have an effective 60psi of pressure.

Makes sense, since I am running out of fuel when I have 24 psi or so pushing back against the injectors.

High-boost NBs absolutely need a pressure reference. It's a little bit of a PITA but not awful. Delete the in-tank regulator and put a Fuelab 535 next to the stock filter.

and afterwards when you try to get them to idle well at 80base, we'll remind you why your ms2 sucks lol

My ms2 doesn't suck, it blows!

Doesn't sound too difficult to run a boost reference. I have an "inspection opportunity" not too far away, so this will likely wait until then. For the moment I am stuck around 240 or 250 kpa.

Yeah, my car is basically a freaking hairdresser beach mobile. Can barely get out of the teens and doesn't even make 3 times factory power. I am over it, I want a big **** fuel upgrade and a huge honkin' t3 to compliment my upgrade.

I have to say, those coils are lighting shyat up no matter what tho, misfires gone.
