He makes non-lowered versions as well. I personally would like a much thicker bushing like the Blackbird mounts over just stock-style replacements.

Ahh, I did not know that.

I can't vouch for the Blackbird ones, but looking at the design I would probably go with them. Same basic design with more softness.

I'm really leaning towards the 949 Hyrbid mounts. Seems like a safe bet as far as downpipe clearance and driving behavior.

Website is under construction so I can't find any info on them. Probably going to stick with the 949 Hybrid mounts.

There's a major reduction in NVH with our Street Performance mounts from our Competition mounts, especially once they are broken in.
They are available in stock or lowered mounting height and are currently in stock for most versions

I sent you an email.

Ok, so. Engine bay is cleaning up nicely. It's actually somewhat red under all the grime. Old wiring harness is being pulled as I have a new-ish stock harness on the way. The old harness has been hacked to death after several radios, aftermarket alarms and old school fuel/timing units. It was a mess and I'd rather just start from stock and run some of the wires under fenders.

Taking some pieces off the old engine and fitting them on the new one I noticed a few minor things. The first and most prominent being the drain fitting. It's just barely set higher so I think I'm going to have some clearance issues with the A/C bracket and the drain line.

As you can see it is very close. Would trimming the low point of the A/C bracket cause any structural issues? Or should I cut my losses and re-tap the pan to the other location near the rear of the block? Not sure if it'll have issues but I'm honestly on the fence about keeping the A/C anyway at this point. What say you, MT?

My complete timing belt, water pump, gasket set came in so I can now start swapping out the front accessories and get this bad boy sealed up permanently and ready to go into it's new home.

I have a competition this weekend with my team in Port St. Lucie so I'll gone for the next week. Hopefully the rest of my parts arrive so I can really start digging into this thing.

As a side note: my English bulldog underwent surgery to have his corkscrew tail fixed and they ended taking the his entire tail. He came home for one day and is now back as he has became extremely lethargic and his stitches were starting to ooze some fluid that was a troubling color. Love the ugly ****** to death but the surgery has me set back a grand easy at this point. Keep my ugly pupper in your thoughts.

Don't ask anyone north of Gainesville, FL whether you should keep the A/C. There's a difference.

Hope the pup pulls through.

I don't have a/c, although at times during the summer here in TN I wish I did. Back when j lived in the desert I never cared. Maybe I never acclimated to humidity, or I'm fatter, or older. To be honest 90% of the times I wish I had a/c were when my dog travels with me. I take her to do therapy visits so she's not left in the car ever, but even on the highway she's gets a bit miserable on the super hot days.

The **** is going on here? You are actually working on this beast? So I have my old valve cover still with the -10 breather lines. I have a complete PNP Toyota COP setup, and we talked about something else but I can't remember. All that stuff is yours if you want it. I am keeping my catch can for the current build however. Let me know and I can get it shipped over to the old panhandle state.

Tank (English Bully) is back home and is doing well!

I've actually decided to plug the current hole and drill a new one. Since the motor is on a stand it makes no sense not to just do it properly. I'll use the same fitting and keep the A/C. I know during that first rain with 100% humidity I'll be swearing up and over about getting rid of it.

Car is legit being worked on at least twice a week. I made it a full year on my private personal training business....so now I can play again.

I have COP already but I'll for sure take that valve cover. I'll message you right now on Facebook.

Updates - Oil pump is a go. Just gotta save budget it in. Also, the parts guy I ordered my wiring harness from backed out, refunded my money and won't return my messages. So I'm on the hunt for another stock harness.

Decided to keep it...again. You've been pretty busy with the baby making thing so I'll let it slide this time, Troy.
