I may need to get some 1000cc injectors a new fuel pump and a holset. Is there a factory wastegate hole in that exhaust housing? Or is it just a flat plate, I was thinking I might be able to get away with using my current manifold, wastegate and down pipe with only minor massaging of components.

I need all those things, minus the Holset.

Yes, there is a factory hole for the 5-bolt (HY/HX-35, HX-30 and even the HX-40 and larger)

Your ILOVETACOTACO manifold will let it bolt up, minus the downpipe flange. I'm not positive on the wastegate hole placement as compared to your current turbo, but I'm sure it wouldn't be very hard to replicate if you're handy with a welder. You might actually have turbo placement far enough forward to use the v-band housing turbine commonly found on the later HY's and HE351's (basically an HY).

The 5-bolts look like this-EDIT: The 5-bolts don't have a divider between the wastegate hole and turine outlet...so, scratch that, lol.

The v-bands look like this-awesome wastegate path...

Here's where I bought my flange- Turbo Outlet Holset HX35 flange 3/8" mild steel: Precision Machining & Fabrication

Parts are here from ARtech. Everything looks nice and sexy, Julian. I'll post pics later when I mock it all up on the car. Then it's off to do the other necessary work. Ceramic coating for the manifold, powder coating for the intake/compressor housing, engine being pulled for trans swap and engine bay cleaning, etc..lots to do.

Also, I noticed some faint cracks around the wastegate hole in the turbine. The hole is welded closed and the cracks do not follow the weld. A quick googling tells me this is very common for these turbos are they have heavy mileage on them, but they still work fine. I may just swipe another one off ebay for 200 bucks as a back up in case I find it leaking down the road.

I think I'm just paranoid. Pics later.

Throw that compressor and intake in with the transmission and I'll glass bead the stuff and powder coat it. I have your stuff boxed up, just haven't been down to the post office yet.

I'm still trying to decide if that was English.

The car will be done when it's done. Sooner than later, actually. Hopefully.

Already planned on it! Take your time, dude.

Made my manifold a little less ugly. The old ceramic came off pretty easy. Still have a few spots to touch up before I have it re-coated.

and a shot of the welds on the test pipe. Sure is pretty.

You are making me even more excited to get my ARTech stuff... I just sent him my turbo/EWG last week. How long was it after you sent him your parts before he had everything shipped back to you? He told me 7 weeks but i'm just curious if he over-estimates lol

Is the manifold mild steel? It looks pretty good raw, assuming it would stay that way.
This setup looks so awesome. ARTech has really changed the game imo.
If this thing is running next time Im down in they Keys you should take me for a ride, maybe takes some pics or something.

Yes it's mild. I like the look of it raw, too, but it needs to be coated. There is, supposedly, a local gut that can do coatings down here. If not I'll just send it off like the rest of my parts.

Let me know next time you're down.

Well that was a dead end. That shop closed.

Also So small I only noticed it when blown up on my monitor.

Luckily a local shop fixed it for me in less than an hour It ain't pretty but it's definitely not an issue anymore. Off to get coated next week.

Next on list: Enjektors- still deciding between 750's and 1000's. FM2 clutch kit will be on it's way soon as will their hotside silicone intercooler pipe (I love my coldside one so much). When the pipe gets here I'll mock it up in the car, make a j-pipe connection between the comp. outlet and the silicone inlet with some old aluminum and have the j-pipe welded on.

Still working on a cherry picker solution. I'd really hate to just toss coin for a new one.

Tiny, tiny crack along a weld that I had repaired this morning.

Tell me about it. At the same time though, a drive like that is a hell of a shake down run for a new setup.

Edit: Dem rocks.

Haha, yeah that's a good way to look at it.

Not a lot. I don't have to pull the motor, but it only makes sense due to the trans/clutch/flywheel swap. I also need to do some cleaning in the engine bay. I forget that I have over 200k on this car and I've neglected to clean the poor thing properly. It's getting pressure washed.

I either have everything or it's on the way, minus the cherry picker.
