I preoiled the journal with lucas break in additive, the turbo looks nice and seems to spoil quicker than the 14b did. I revved the car to 5k and hit 4psi, i thought most turbos would only do that with 2 step.

I will post pics tomorrow and hopefully have a video soon.

Oh dear lord. Why do you own a turbo car, again?

Decent gas mileage with power, fun driving through the mountains, pretty good for autocross.

Today I went for about a 20 mile drive... wholy cow this thing flows so much more than my old warn out 14b. I broke it loose at 50mph at 14psi on one good pull. Other than that i'm going to be conservative for about a week. I'm going to dyno tune, then begin the test of longevity. I will post pics and videos very soon.

Are you on Walmart tires or was it just 35 degrees and wet outside?

Reading this thread makes me get that feeling you get when you slow down, even though you know you shouldn't, to get a better look at that accident on the other side of the freeway.

Ha ha rubber neck, never heard that one. I'm running on falken 215/45Z fk452's, I get decent traction but not good enough to stick on hard pulls from down low. The turbo starts spooling from 2500~2800rpms and have full spool around 3600. It's buttery smooth boost compared to my tired 14B. I love waking up and going to work for the mere fact of getting to drive my car, i'm in l-o-v-e. My girlfriend is already jealous of it and I have only had it two months.

I'm getting a minor water coolant leak at the fittings on the turbo, that seems to be the only problem.

LOL!!! I'll donate to that account, once I start to get any play with this turbo. Yesterday I participated in a local autocross event, the turbo definitely has a lot more lag than my last turbo. I knew that was going to happen, however, the sacrifice was not in vain. I love how hard it hits up top. So far I have over 2,000 miles...

NO SHAFT play.

I will have pics tomorrow if its not raining.

Actually yea, we traveled to the beach and back. Then went up to west virginia to visit some family. It's very possible to put that many miles on.

And yes the videos were filmed with a prehistoric 7.3 megapixel potatoe.
