dude, I've been saying that since I was like 5 years old.

A Delta passenger who filmed birds striking his plane over New York City's John F. Kennedy International airport received a scathing letter from the Federal Aviation Administration condemning his use of an electronic during flight takeoff.
...
"If these electronics are actually dangerous, the FAA doesn't need to send me a letter. They should ban them from the airlines."

I love scientists. So much for Al Gore.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, dinosaurs released more methane gas, which traps more heat than carbon dioxide and is thus more dangerous, than all natural and man-made sources of methane do today.
Dr. Dave Wilkinson, from Liverpool John Moores University, who led a study of the issue, that was published in the journal Current Biology, said:
Dr. Dave Wilkinson, from Liverpool John Moores University, who led a study of the issue, that was published in the journal Current Biology, said:
“A simple mathematical model suggests that the microbes living in sauropod dinosaurs may have produced enough methane to have an important effect on the Mesozoic climate. Indeed, our calculations suggest that these dinosaurs could have produced more methane than all modern sources - both natural and man-made - put together.”
Medium-sized sauropods like diplodocus, which was 150 feet tall and weighed up to 45 tons, made enough methane to amount to roughly 472 million tons per year, the scientists calculated.

The white house apparently counts unborns as full human beings:
The White House Visitors Office requires that an unborn child—still residing in utero—must be counted as a full human being when its parents register for a White House tour, according to documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

In other words, this thread makes me feel like people are too lazy or too stupid to come to reasonable, objective analysis that recognizes shades of grey and context. There can be no solutions without crisis and the solutions may be worse than the cause of the crisis.

the majority of my stuff comes from a Cato member, who is constantly posting this on his blog. The other stuff....well you are right.

Yes, seriously. I mean, his record is so awful, right? http://www.randirhodes.com/pages/rrn...rticle=9665370
Come on guys, can we seriously not descend into partisan BS for once? That particular interview is a historic moment for the country as a whole - if this continues, the election is going to involve a great deal about gay rights. Romney has said he wants a federal constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, Obama has came out in favor of gay marriage. It's kind of a Really Big Deal. We haven't seen this sort of thing since the 1960s. Whatever happens is going to be ground shaking, in either direction.
