I've been debating as to the best thread in which to post this. Since the "politics" thread has devolved into the "Braineack bashes all media except FOX" thread, this seems appropriate.

As a TV news guy, I'm a little bit shocked that this whole bit made it to air, but as a TV news guy, I'm also aware that the majority of network-affiliated stations don't actually have a TD sitting in a chair in front of a switcher anymore. The newscast is largely automated, based on a pre-prepared rundown, so there literally isn't a button to push to break-away anymore.

it doesn't matter who they are. Treason is a very specific charge that none of them committed in even your wildest wet dream. Sedition would be the more appropriate charge, even that is a stretch from that mostly peaceful protest.

The fact that they are being held without bail is wrong. Watching you cheer the disgusting erosion of our rights because you dislike who is being stomped on makes you look alot like a fascist.

 

What erosion of rights? The ones you make up because you feel like they should be rights? The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that the Constitution permits holding a defendant without bail pending a criminal trial. No absolute right to bail exists.

You are making a whole lot of assumptions right there. We generally don't charge or arrest people for assumptions. Also bail isn't the rights being violated, the first amendment right to protest and petition the Government would be the rights trampled.

People died in the BLM terrorist riots, several of those riots attempted to create their own country, sedition achieved. Why isn't the fbi holding them without bail?
