A driving reason for pulling our kids from public school this year was a chat conversation related to the vaccine that my 14yr old had with his Global Studies teacher. (NOTE: most teachers had turned off the public view of chat, so individual comments and questions were isolated). The teacher said something like "well, we aren't going to force you to get the vaccine, but we'd strongly encourage you" so he asked her "what is an example of strongly encourage?" to which she replied "well, it's a privilege to be in society, so if you don't get the vaccine you won't get to participate as much - like going to the store or your job".
