Infection-acquired immunity cut the risk of hospitalization and death from a Covid reinfection by 88% for at least 10 months, study found

Feb. 16, 2023, 6:53 PM EST

By Akshay Syal, M.D.

Immunity acquired from a Covid infection provides strong, lasting protection against the most severe outcomes of the illness, according to research published Thursday in The Lancet -- protection, experts say, that's on par with what's provided through two doses of an mRNA vaccine.

Infection-acquired immunity cut the risk of hospitalization and death from a Covid reinfection by 88% for at least 10 months, the study found.

The study was the largest meta-analysis to date to look at immunity following infection. It included 65 studies from 19 countries and compared the risk of developing Covid again in people who had recovered from infections to people who hadn't been infected through September. People who had hybrid immunity, or immunity from both infection and vaccination, were excluded.

Notably, the immunity acquired from infection did appear to wane more slowly than the immunity from two doses of an mRNA vaccine.

I've been searching all over, trying to find a court document in which Pfizer is on record as having stated anything along the lines of "we delivered the fraud which the government ordered" or similar.

All I'm coming up with are attributions to that one speech, given by Alexandra Latypova at the Stockholm conference.

Latypova does not appear to have ever been employed by, or have had any business relationship with, Pfizer or any other vaccine manufacturer. Her only connection to the medical field is as a venture capitalist, where she's co-founded iCardiac Technologies (manufacturer of ECG-based cardiac safety biomarkers and tools, which has had some business grudges against Pfizer), and Clerio Vision (laser vision correction.)
This "messenger" business gets pretty sticky, pretty fast. If it's MSNBC or CNN, are we to believe it? NYT? They're still holding their Pulitzer for the hookers peeing on the bed story. Do we believe a story from Alex Jones if he's citing a government study? Facebook and Twitter have famously taken down and banned people who cite peer reviewed research.

Who is the arbiter of truth? And if you get it wrong, what's the punishment? Banishment? If so, all media should be shuttered for work they put out yesterday.

Too bad MSM maligned, banned, and attacked all those selfish "anti-vaxxers" that said this from the beginning.

Every once in a great while, humanity shows a faint glimmer of ability to reason.
But let’s not get our hopes up.

These are all excellent questions.

There's really no such thing as an unbiased human. So long as humans are involved in an editorial capacity in the dissemination of information, implicit bias will be present in said information.

One answer to this is to eliminate the concept of humans in an editorial capacity. In theory, the Internet was supposed to provide this. And it actually did, to a very large extent, back in the Usenet era. There were no admins, no moderators, no corporate owners. The only bias present on Usenet was the fact that 100% of the people on Usenet were the kind of people who tended to use Usenet. So, mostly nerdy male teenagers / 20-somethings.

Another answer is to ensure that only the "correct" biases are present. The definition of "correct," of course, being somewhat different for a magazine designed to appeal to hunting & fishing enthusiasts vs. a blog catering to gender-confused children.

The first half of this report tells that NYC school system sent fingerprints of unvaxxed teachers to the FBI and told FBI to place those individuals on a watch list.

Make sure you watch the second half after the commercial. It's about adding new codes to medical records.

Using fear as coercion worked really well during Covid. Canada added bank account lock-downs for whomever they chose as being a "violent extremist", even if they held a sing-along in the town square. Gas rationing, food rationing...it's all about control. There are enough stupid people in the world who--when they are fearful--turn to the government for help, even when they're the source of the fear.

Anyone wonder why the government wants to furnish us all with EBT cards?

You will own nothing, and like it.
