Roe V. Wade was bad law. Even Ginsburg said so. Now it's up to the people in each state to decide. What's more democratic than pushing the decisions down instead of up to a central planner?
What's crazy is that this is what Democrats will hang their hat on, election after election. The video shows then Governor Ralph Northam talking about letting a baby die, after being born, because that's what the mom wants.
Taken to it's natural conclusion, if Leftists have that little regard for life then senior citizens had better take note....you're next.
And if your cancer treatment is too expensive or you're stage IV, shouldn't we just let you die? The money can be better spent elsewhere.
It's the natural progression of things when individual lives are not considered important. Placing the group over individuals always, always does that, which is why Communism has killed so many millions.
Libertarians stand for people marrying who they want to marry, owning their own bodies, and being allowed to make decisions regarding their own bodies. That includes being able to buy medications they need without a doctor's permission slip, which is the way they do it in the rest of the world.
I think they should legalize all of the illegal drugs like they have done in several other First World countries. I don't own you. I'm not your daddy or Guardian. And the collective "we" of government are not your parents either.
Most true conservatives are libertarian, in that the favorite phrase is always "do what you want, as long as it doesn't involve me." Every time we go to Mexico, we stock up on drugs. Ivermectin (all three kids and my wife got Covid in the last two weeks), Z-pack, Metformin, etceteras. Big Pharma owns this space in America.
My problem with free drug use are the effects. A true Libertarian would allow drug use, but wouldn't require the State to take care of the addict. They'd let them die. So in a true Libertarian state, the bad choices of others don't affect me. But in real life it does. How do you fix that?
Roe V Wade was just used to shellac the religious right. It should have always been up to the states and the people. However, I don't believe the states should be able to pick and choose what they want from the constitution. That is how we lose our republic. California should be considered a socialist state and is moving in the direction of communism.

You've identified one way in which politics are not as simple as a slogan, regardless of hat-color. Sociopolitical issues are complex, nuanced, and multivariable.
In a perfect world, drug addicts who are overdosing would not be allowed to consume the time and resources of EMS and the hospitals. You wanna take a lethal dose of fentanyl-laced meth? Fine, we'll pay for your cremation.
But there are other costs. Even in a world in which there are no laws against what we presently consider illicit drugs, addiction still leads to joblessness and poverty, which in turn breeds burglary and robbery, not to mention that tweakers are statistically much more likely to commit assault and other violent crimes.
Some people will say "No problem, just let me exercise my 2nd Amendment rights, and that problem will go away." Only it won't go away. Crackheads don't think logically.
Friedman was amazing and should be a required study for all politicians.
Today inflation is a little different and one should study the economic effects on the citizens. Inflation reduces everyone’s wealth which lowers the citizens quality of life. The response is to increase one’s income. At least to a point and then people give up. Rand refers to this as shrugging.
Today we see economic sprawl and under the table markets to reduce this burden. The fact is, those that control the printing press are not affected. At least since currency is no longer backed by gold. There is one entity that benefits more than any other and that is our government/military. We are in a battle for our gdp. That is why we are divided, division allows us to be more easily controlled.

Government is still the boogeyman when it comes to inflation, and we're playing with FIRE when it comes to BRICS nations. One reason why inflation doesn't immediately follow a money dump is that the dollar is a world currency. Our printing press affects the entire world's economy.
And now the BRICS countries are calling BULLSHIT. They'll be pegging their dollar to gold or to oil. Or both. And there won't be anyone who shows up when we sell our worthless paper.
It's a pork chop on a stick and a vanilla shake for Tim Walz at the Minnesota State Fair
Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz munched on a pork chop on a stick and washed it down with a vanilla shake as the Minnesota governor and his family visited his home state fair
He's sharp as a tack. They don't have to campaign cause the press does it for them. And then they cheat.
Not sure how the rest of the country is dealing with the three year anniversary of the 13 marines that died in Afghanistan, but there are 13 flags placed on the overpasses in town because they came from our local Camp Pendleton.
I always figured Obama picked Biden because he was such a dumb patsy; no chance of a palace coup'. Biden never did anything that caused me to believe differently.
