The Current Events, News, and Politics Thread
This used to be a well known problem in Louisiana, especially if you had a nice car they wanted to confiscate. People will do exactly what you give them incentive to do.

Hoyer: "The Country Has A Paying For Problem," Not A Spending Problem | RealClearPolitics
MICHELLE CARUSO-CABRERA: Does the country have a spending problem sir? Does the country have a spending problem?
REP. STENY HOYER (D-MD), HOUSE MINORITY WHIP: Does the country have a spending problem? The country has a paying for problem. We haven't paid for what we bought, we haven't paid for our tax cuts, we haven't paid for war.
CARUSO-CABRERA: How about what we promised? Are we promising too much?
HOYER: Absolutely. If we don't pay, we shouldn't buy.
CARUSO-CABRERA: So how is that different than a spending problem?
HOYER: Well, we spent a lot of money when George Bush was president of the United States in the House and Senate were controlled by Republicans. We spent a lot of money. (Squawk Box, February 12, 2013

why is CNN such a joke?
CNN Absurdly Asks If Rubio's Sip of Water Was 'Career-Ender' | NewsBusters
CNN Panel: Dorner's Alleged Murder Spree 'Exciting,' Like 'Denzel Washington Movie'
Honestly, if I was a struggling News outlet and was beating out by all my competetors specifically one that was winning by more than all others combined, I'd probably try to mimic that format. But I guess that's not the real motivator is it?

If the worst criticism "the Blue Team" can come up with for Rubio's response is that he awkwardly took some water in the middle of his monologue, I guess he did alright.

on CNN:
huh, imagine that, I love when liberals actually think.
In response to a panelist who points out, "We have a law. There are appropriate ways to do [remedy a grievance.], Marc Lamont Hill [racist, black, liberal] says, "What if proper channels don't work?"
What if--in the case of border security--Federal laws are not only ignored but actively weakened?
What if--as is the case now--there are so many laws that it's literally impossible to know them, or when you're breaking one?

The "Blue Team" is actually the "Red" team, as in Lenin. The "Red" team is now the "Pink" team, because they're a bunch of pussies.

He'll say stupid things that undermine his own beliefs, because he's liberal; and that's what they do. In this case suggesting that we need to arm up and go kill cops or something stupid.
It's funnier if you are more familiar with Dr Marc Lemont Hill. He's a racist and blue-blooded liberal. I'm sure he's actually for the disarment of all citizens, at least white ones. He supports the cop-killer and claims he's a superstar because he's black as well and his "rights have been surpessed" or hes been "wronged" or something silly.

…while Reagan inspired and cut taxes, he did not reduce the deficit. He did not even cut the budget. But if you look back, past Dwight Eisenhower and around the curve of history, you can find a Republican who did all those things: Calvin Coolidge. …The 30th president cut the top income-tax rate to 25% (lower than the 28% of the historic Reagan cut of 1986). Coolidge reduced the national debt and balanced the budget. When he departed the White House for his home in Northampton, Mass., he left a federal budget smaller than the one he found. …”I am for economy, and after that I am for more economy,” Coolidge told voters… The jovial Harding had vetoed only six bills. Coolidge vetoed 50. “It is much more important to kill bad bills than to pass good ones,” Coolidge once advised his father.
President Reagan recognized Coolidge’s achievement, and upon taking office in 1981 he had a neglected Coolidge picture restored to a place of honor near Lincoln and Jefferson in the Cabinet Room.
Obama, for instance, raised the top tax rate from 35 percent to 39.6 percent as part of his class-warfare agenda. Hoover, by contrast, boosted the top rate from 25 percent to 63 percent and FDR then pushed it to 77 percent.

These jack-asses don't think about people as individuals, only as groups. That's why you see liberal heads explode at the sight of black conservatives.
